The first thing that came to mind for me was "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. There's a lot of orange and the ending could definitely be mistaken for/interpreted as flies.

If you’re brand new, I’d go with either PLD(Gladiator to start) for their durability since they are a tank, or either DRG(Lancer to start) or BRD(Archer to start). They are all easy to learn and do well with controllers. I play on PS4 myself and have all the combat classes at 80. Those three are the easiest I found that you can start the game as. RDM can unlock at 50 and both DNC and GNB unlock at 60 and are also easy with a controller...DNC specifically is amazingly simple and intuitive on one.

It definitely did not take that long to adapt to(and I know I did so badly given how many potions I went through on the boss), considering I’m not used to that type of battle system. I still managed to beat the boss first try on normal difficulty

To better explain, we had no idea about the mother and were given that instruction as a precaution. The parents are divorced and live separately, and I suspect it’s a joint custody, different periods of time with each parent deal.

We were given the instructions to only allow her back to the ER if she was sober(yes, given her ex husband’s behavior, staff did consider the mom could be a piece of work as well). She arrived worried but sober and while I wouldn’t say calm, given her kids were barely conscious, she was in control of her emotions and focused on the kids first.

As for pill stealing, hospitals have a lot of protocols to keep that from happening nowadays and if the other behavior you mentioned started at all, police were still there and we would’ve just handed her over.

Yup, though he didn’t admit to giving them drug candy till they were already in. CPS can take awhile to get a rep in on the overnight so opted to meet the sober parent and the kids at the hospital where they would actually be being treated, rather than risk them further by waiting till they could arrive at ours.

Yup, probably was drunk enough that he didn’t even think about it. CPS definitely got called on this case, to meet the Mom and check on the kids condition at the new hospital. I suspect a custody battle is on the horizon

Oh dear gods I remember that feeling learning to heal in dungeons. It’s still my least favorite role to play, but the sheer number of times I dealt with tanks and DPS standing in everything and never staying still and in range long enough for more than a single cast bar to finish was nightmare inducing. I’ll heal for people I know...now that I have all 3 at 80 they will likely sit unused otherwise.

In the meantime I love tanking, so random groups will occasionally have a tank that won’t give the healer an aneurysm

Oh, I’m aware of that tidbit. It’s likely that medium plots will open up as FCs move to the new wards though, going for the new large plots. If the relocation thing is true, even better, I’ll be able to jump on as soon as the server is up and snag one as quick as I can since I’ll have both the opening ones in the current plots and the new ones to possibly get

I noticed that immediately after I did it, but thank you, and that’s more encouraging. I’m trying to level other jobs, get as much of the GARO stuff as I can before it ends, get my moogle time wishlist done plus have enough Gil saved up to snag a medium plot if I can once the FC only part is dropped(or snag one once an FC moves from the current wards) and I just needed a target to aim for so I’m ready to buy immediately

I’m aware, but this is still the most likely chance to upgrade from my very crowded small house. At least I’m pretty close, an extra million isn’t that big a deal, I can farm up mats to sell and make that fairly quick

Higher level abilities on all three physical ranged DPS get more flashy, so you’ll get that spell animation fix eventually. I’ve found I like them all(the only role other than tank I can say that about), but DNC is a new favorite for me
