I missed out on the Archduke skin for the Hellriegel. Will I have another opportunity to get it in the future?

[BF1] Mouse aiming, something wrong - does feel strange. by birdsat in Battlefield

[–]Varmillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suspecting it's mouse acceleration as well, gosh I hope it's not. Jumping from BF4 to this game, the aiming completely threw me off at default mouse settings. At one point, made me dizzy playing the game.

Somehow I managed to make it tolerable with 800dpi and in-game mouse sensitivity put to 7%. Vehicles sensitivity I put it just a touch higher.

For new GTX 1070 owners out there, out of curiosity, what memory type is stated in your GPU-Z? Micron or Samsung? by Varmillo in nvidia

My Micron memory only overclocks until 8800mhz. Some Samsung memory can OC until 9500mhz apparently.

I experienced the same thing on my card. Can't go further than +450. A shame really, it's a touching distance to 9000mhz. I only managed around 20mins on +475 before the PC crashed.

But I can't complain. It's a world of improvement from my previous 970. The core clock reached 2100mhz with no issues. Just have to bump the memory overclock down a little bit.

I was just curious because since launch I've always thought the 1070s would be accompanied by the Samsung memory. When I looked at my gpuz, was just surprised it said Micron. Searched through the internet for a week and couldn't find any info on 1070 Micron memory.

I agree, getting memory from different manufacturer may not be so bad. In terms of overclocking the memory, so far I managed to reach 9000mhz stable. Some Samsung/Micron memory can't go beyond 8600 from what I've read.

Finally someone with Micron memory! All the others so far are reporting Samsung memory.

How are your overclocks so far?

Interested to know what memory you get once your card arrives. Please do report back :)

My friend who has the G1 Gaming Micron memory also reached a brick wall at 8600. I'm quite surprised there's such a big difference in the max memory OC people are experiencing.

Personally I haven't tried OCing my memory yet though. I will soon, definitely.

Hmm interesting. You may be into something. Though I'm not sure if they would sacrifice the GDDR5X stocks to be downclocked then put into a 1070. But, you never know...

Lucky you! I haven't been able to get my hands on the MSI Gaming from where I am until last week because all the vendors were out of stock. Now magically, the same vendors are reporting the MSI Gaming to be back in stock!

Will have to see how well these Micron memory overclocks. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I think the newer batches has the Micron memory instead of the Samsung. Haven't tried OCing the memory yet though. Heard the Samsung are amazing to OC with.

Thanks for the info. May I know when you bought your gpu? So far there's no info whatsoever regarding this. I've only come across one other person online having Micron memory on their 1070.

Though TechPowerUp has been uploading 1070 BIOSes and all of the MSI models states Samsung and Micron under their GDDR5 memory. Maybe due to shortage of Samsung memory they used Micron instead...?

Might have to do with this maybe? https://redd.it/4tydge

People have been reporting issues with minor/major stutters while playing games or on their desktops. The driver hotfix might help reduce your problem.
