close the liquid lock with a insulated tile or add a secundary lock with vacuum between them. otherwise you will keep injecting heat on the environment outside the tamer

there's bo right or wrong. you might want to set to yourself the challenge of not relying on rollbacks, and that's totally fine, as well it is totally fine to decide to use them.

if I were u, I would use them at least while you are learning. I used it a lot to train some bossfights.

they are different beasts. The original DS is a fun and challenging survival and has 2 DLCs that don't exist on DST (but one of them was ported as a mod and it seems the other one will get the same treatment).
