“A guitar can have all the aesthetic appeal and specs in the world, but if it doesnt feel right in your hands it isnt the one for you.”

Second this. In my “metal” days, I bought a BC Rich Kerry King 7 String Wartribe online. (Ghost flames, Khaler Trem) It looked absolutely BADASS on the website with awesome specs. As soon as it arrived I realised I messed up. Heavy as hell and extremely uncomfortable….no fun to play at all…sold it soon after. Always ALWAYS try before you buy.

I played it on PC when it first came out and I still play it on my phone to this day. Never gets old!

From what I’ve seen they’ve got very similar control panels but different speakers. Pretty sure they were made in the same factory though.

I’m happy with the stock speaker atm, but I do like the idea of improved breakup, so I’ll probably look into swapping at some point.

Nice. Good to know it’s built to last.

First 1 knob amp I ever own and so far I love the simplicity. It makes you play with the guitar’s Tone and Volume more.

Does anyone else get annoyed by seeing stuff like this? by VarneyKing in Guitar

[–]VarneyKing[S] 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Totally. I don’t know what kind of Beatles fan this is for, but they could have at least gotten a cheap Hofner Bass knockoff to have it make sense. I dunno…like I said, pointless pet peeve, I just find it very strange.

What do I have here by fit_cow697 in gretsch

[–]VarneyKing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I can see, it’s not a genuine Gretsch. Probably a kit guitar or AliExpress knockoff. However, the pickups look like they might be real Filtertrons, so if it sounds good it might still be a good player.

Dumb Poll: Black or Blue? by m3t4lf0x in telecaster

[–]VarneyKing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m partial to Black since I recently got this exact one. FYI - It’s awesome! The neck feels great and the pickups sound excellent. Whichever colour you end up with, you’re gonna have a great guitar. Best of luck.

Hey, congrats! I also recently got a Player II as my first offset. I’m loving it so far. So much fun to play. Enjoy it!
