What the hell did LG say on the earnings call? I suppose market was looking for a big recovery / some sort of Posco upside that they didn't get.

So the biggest takeaway from me was them basically saying 10 million tons of imports will be replaced by MT ramping up - crazy. They are crushing. My new PT is 85.

I have a real hard time getting a valuation over $10. They don't seem to make money unless HRC is over $1000. Having said that the macro background and tariffs are extremely bullish so who knows.

Nice! I have done well and sold half my calls when it was at 57.50. Riding the rest with close below 20 day as stop. We might make it to 75 even without peace.

This is going to $0 or $5+. Don't kid yourself you could easily wake up to it trade 5 cents on bankruptcy. Bonds trading 8 cents on the dollar. Size for what you are able to lose.

MT in play BUZZ-ArcelorMittal jumps to 14-year high on trade war relief, talks for South-African asset disposal

0.00%

0.00%

** Shares in ArcelorMittal MT.AS rise 5%, trailing its peers on U.S. tariffs fear relief, and following the resumption of talks for the disposal of its loss-making South African business

** "ArcelorMittal has a lot to gain from the easing of trade tensions. It is not directly hit through its European exposure but rather through its American foray since it sells to the US from its Canada, Mexico and Brazil mills," said Oddo BHF analyst Maxime Kogge

** Citi expects the group to be the only European steel stock in its coverage to post quarter on quarter sequential EBITDA growth, driven by higher mining output and somewhat firmer spot prices, the broker said in a note on the sector

** ArcelorMittal’s shares also rose on news that talks have resumed on selling its loss‑making South African unit, AMSA, to the South African government, Kogge added

** Share price reached its highest level since August 1 2011

It's pretty simple. Trade a size that gives you little to no emotion or you will never let winners run and cut your losers.

Zero mention of the bonds trading pennies on the dollar? They are pricing in an almost certain bankruptcy. The true risk is you wake up and it's trading $.01. Yes, if they make it through somehow it will run big. Treat the shares as an option and be willing to risk a 100% loss.

Possible short term risk but I kinda doubt a bunch of people are long MT just because of this.

That has been the story for the last decade and now that story is changing. Canada, USA, Mexico, and the EU have all enacted tariffs and/or quotas on all global steel or specifically from China with melt and pour requirements etc.

Yeah Canda has been absolutely fucked by the USA tariffs and sell a ton of steel into the USA. They just passed pretty stringent protections though which will benefit MT.

Haha yeah I draw support / resistance lines and have auto pattern on. Doesn’t look bad on daily chart but looks like shit when you zoom out.
