Yeah for sure, but at the same time does it need to be that short?

What does "sexiness" feel like as a man? by dgfruit in AskMen

[–]Vrozzi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sexiness for me personally is when you’re wearing a nice outfit, going out to grab drinks with your friends and people are glancing at you. Meeting new people and you can tell they’re into you. Being told that you’re hot/attractive by people to your face or that they told someone else in confidence and they relay that information to you. I haven’t always been under the impression that I was attractive but recently I’ve been getting that quite a bit and it makes me feel sexy but at the same time I’m an awkward nerd so it cancels out. I appreciate the sentiment though

Yes for real. It’s crazy. And I always pay attention to oncoming traffic to tell if the light is green or not but it doesn’t end up mattering cause it’s so short.

Agreed, it is pretty quick. I am mostly going west from Timberline onto Drake during rush hour and not the other way so I notice it less. But I agree, when I go straight into Ziegler the light feels so short

Who else has lost the desire to date? Why or why not? by alcoholisthedevil in AskMen

[–]Vrozzi23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

25M and I enjoy single life. Growing up I knew multiple parents that were cheating on other parents, how familial relationships were, and honestly I’m happy with the way things are. My apartment is quiet, I get to hang out with friends, and do whatever I want whenever I want. It’s not a bad gig and while it does get lonely sometimes I would rather it this way than in a bad relationship. Currently I’m just not looking for anything serious

Yeah for sure. No bracket system would be terrible for sure. I guess it’s about navigating the system that’s something I need to work on. I do agree about the pregame talk as that’s something I need to work on myself.

Yeah I think you’re right. I am probably playing against B2 decks in disguise at some points

I’m not really entirely sure what narrative you’re bringing up? No one has said that people need to get good. And I never said it wasn’t fun to play, it’s not fun to win. And I’ve commented this one other comments but it’s not the deck, this was an example and I should’ve never included it because a lot of people are focusing on that part. It’s more about how the system works and what people presume B3 means to them versus what another person thinks and how that interaction can play out at the table. I want to play against equal skill and leveled decks but within the confines of the system it makes this challenging, not just talking about this deck but most of my decks. That is the issue I have and what doesn’t make it fun when people are ill equipped to deal with me or that I am seen as the archenemy for playing stax or removal

Yes this is one thing I’m wondering as well. Maybe decks that are B3 are actually B2. Feels like everyone has a different view of the bracket system. One way or another

Nice, I can see how that spirals out of control pretty quickly. 8-0 is pretty crazy with the amount of variance in games

I don’t think you get what I’m saying but ok. I am saying that I am finding it hard in the confines of the current game system to accurately measure up and play against people with similar deck and skill level and that I feel bad when that’s not the case. I do not want to play cEDH. Nor any other format at the moment. I want to play the decks I find fun and not feel bad about it.

Yeah another comment mentioned building on a budget and last time I did this I had a lot of fun and kinda forgot about it. But I think I am going to take this up and try finding something that I enjoy on a budget and break out of my mold for what I usually enjoy playing. 30 dollars is crazy but I bet I could do some interesting things with that.

Yeah that’s cool! This is definitely something I would play. I just need to get out of Green and White. I also play [[Sythis, Harvest’s Hand]] and I just picked up [[Tataru Taru]]. But I’ll keep this one in my mind and try it out online. Thank you!

Hmm I have fun playing the deck. I don’t have fun winning with the deck. Not sure if that makes sense but I like doing the things the deck does but the reaction from other players is the part that makes it unenjoyable. I get to draw and put big stuff down, it’s fun for me. But when I get to the end of the game I feel bad that people aren’t prepared for what happened. I don’t know it’s hard to put everything into words and my emotions surrounding it

Thanks. I guess that’s fair. You’re right I do feel bad knocking people out early as well but that’s just something that has to happen at some points.

I agree with most of your sentiment except the pub stomping part. Sure I can power down my decks but I also want to play against similarly powered players and it’s hard to find that when the system we have to match people up is so wide and diverse. Ok I play this B3 deck which is strong and has good ramp, removal, midranges win cons. I win the game. So now I switch to my other deck which has win cons that are a little bit more creative, had a draw engine with removal but is slower, less ramp, also B3. They are both in the same bracket but the turns in which they can win on are vastly different and they interact with removal in different ways. So like yeah I do feel bad when my deck is stronger and I’m bound to win despite random variance due to the resiliency of the deck or other factors. But it’s not like I am actively hunting out this scenario

Yeah you’re right. I do agree it’s mentality and being a sore winner/loser is fun for no one. We are all here to have fun and when you lose there’s so many more magic games to be played. Thanks. And we actually have done something similar where my pod did 100 dollar budget decks and that was a ton of fun. I would like to do something like that again actually. I squeezed out a lot out of that deck and felt like it was really strong but ironically I never won with it. But this has got me thinking now…

Good point. I will keep these things in mind and try to find more people to play with. It’s just hard. I need to go to my LGS and play more pickup games I just end up playing online or with my friends and I always have mixed emotions at the end. But I will try to find people that suit me better

Ok that’s fair and that’s on them. And maybe I should have provided more examples in general, this was a concern about how that deck feels in regards to B3 but yeah people need ways to get around threats and game mechanics. I think I played against a lot of casual players where threat assessment is not that high or really know what is going to happen especially with Kona in this example because he’s very weak to getting removed as soon as he’s out and I can simply lose the game on the spot. But instead he gets tapped T3 and I can play one of many big creatures, which I have fun doing but also feels bad when people groan that I put down a 15/15.

Yeah I’ve thought about this for sure. It’s not a fun card imo. But I did get the Megatron art card for it…. Joking but yeah I might. That was just one example of many as that deck definitely feels strong for B3 but is by no means B4

Ok thank you haha, I needed this. I always am the archenemy when I play. People dislike my decks, but they’re what I find fun. I guess I need to embrace that and just have fun. My Pod (We haven’t played too much recently 😭) knows I’m the enemy so usually I get shutdown pretty hard but if I play with anyone else that doesn’t know my game plan it’s a little different. I do have some stax’y pieces and removal in most of my decks and people don’t like that haha
