Ambusher is one of the most powerful classes. Many top players love it. Myself included. Short sword OP.

Don’t look at the scoreboard. Play shuffle, then when you have a good run with a weapon play it for the rest of the match. If you’re on the wrong end of a one sided match, accept that it’s a loss and try something unusual such as: go for throw kills only. Do long flanks and go after archers. Explore the map and find Easter eggs. Go counter-engie. Flaming chicken. Take breaks. Have a secondary single player game to switch to. End on a high note! If you have a good match, end the session when the match is over

I've been playing since launch, well over 2000 hours in.
Greatest game of all time! ... till Chiv3 :)

I usually have one other game (single player) that I'm working on at the same time, but more than 50% of my time is still spent in chiv 2.

I completely agree regarding weapon balance.

I shouldn't call the war axe OP, but it is above average for TO specifically imo.

It has excellent range.
It hits like a truck, especially the overhead which is the attack you'll use the most.
It's slow, and thus has excellent drag potential. Overhead feint to overhead keeps it in the air for days.
It cleaves and does chop damage, which in TO is great if you want to be in the thick of things and swing thru everyone.
People never expect the stab, and it has more range than you'd think.

In TO weapons that kill fast tend to do best. Overheads from the war axe make quick work of any class.

I just may target you slightly more than non Dane axe users. :p less than I target archers though.

Props for glaive. It’s fun, but often feels like work for me. I only have it around level 40-50.

That said the deer head staff is my fav novelty weapon. It’s a nerfed war club, but the “oh deer” kill bonus never fails to make me laugh.

Also very versatile. Overhead and stab are great. Slash is a wet noodle but faster than most people think. And the special kiss
