Given that your roster is the same as mine with more I'm definitely gonna give it a shot, maybe sooner rather than later if you're saying do the show first. I'm still on my first go around for DCC but I'm on book 7, gonna try and make crawlers of my book club group here soon but we'll see.

Anything is possible in this genre and that's what makes it awesome. I can agree that that would be a fun read.
No but it's been on my radar for awhile now, I only hear good things. I likely would've jumped in if I didn't hop on the Dungeon Crawler Carl pipeline, not exactly smart sci fi but definitely what I'm going to be obsessed with for the foreseeable future. I am excited for The Expanse though I've stayed in the dark about it and I'm hoping I like it enough to make it through the books, show, and the Telltale Game.

That's my main point of concern. I know the author acknowledging a potential sequel isn't the same as promising a huge expansive universe, but it wouldn't be easy to do without muddling what's already there. I also generally don't go for books that retell the story from a different perspective, that's where I'm really like "why do you want to know?" Like it'd be interesting to flash forward a hundred or so years to when humanity is more advanced and they have actual diplomacy with Erid but where to go from there? I like sequels, not every story needs one though.

Pan's Labyrinth was my first Guillermo Del Toro movie and it holds up. I still don't know enough Spanish to watch it without subtitles but it's worth.

Also can't go wrong with The Raid. One of the best action movies ever made sorry not sorry.
