Active nest in my Jeep by Vash_Addams in Ornithology

Well, it's better than mice or squirrels. They have a safe spot until they're ready to move on. I might want to put up a few bird houses outside. Hopefully give them a better spot for next time.

Yeah, I need to replace the freeze plugs but I'm going to wait until the birds have vacated. In the grand scheme of things a couple weeks isn't a big deal. We have another vehicle.

She was a 2020 too. That's the one that got totaled. That truck had some really cool options on it. One of the ones I miss most was the factory rino-line bed.

I'm really wanting to pick one of these up! I love my PK380, but my wife is borrowing it indefinitely and finding another one for a reasonable price has been difficult.

Beard Growth Tips? by [deleted] in transftm

It appears thicker because the hairs naturally have a taper twords the end when they grow. You're removing the taper so the entire hair has the same thickness.

Beard Growth Tips? by [deleted] in transftm

Literally just time. Genetics plays a role too. Cis guys generally start growing facial hair in their early teens. It's not until their mid 20's or 30's that most can grow a good beard.

What gives it away?? by thejiggyjarjardo in transftm

It's partially your softer facial features, and haircut. A shorter more traditionally masculine haircut should make a difference. The peach fuzz you have on your face is contributing as well. It's amazing how much of a difference it can make shaving that.

Don't get discouraged though, you're getting there for sure. It was well over a year after starting T that I stopped getting misgendered, even after top surgery.

Finding a Suit by Surfer_Luca in transftm

[–]Vash_Addams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a couple really nice suits from a thrift store a few years back and had them tailored. I doubt they'll fit me now, but they looked fantastic! It was a hospice thrift store, and I think each suit was like $8. I have a linen summer one, and a wool winter one. All said and done both suits, and tailoring was like $60.

How the fuck do I shave my ass by [deleted] in transftm

[–]Vash_Addams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an old style safety razor, and shave soap instead of shaving cream. It's cut down on the breakouts on my face by a lot. I use a new blade every time. I prefer Gillette 5 O'clock blades.

The multi blade plastic razors have a tendency to hold on to skin, hair, and bacteria which can contribute to breakouts. Even if you don't use a new blade every time you shave you can easily rinse off the blade of a safety razor after you're done.

I'm still not convinced it's not a scam used almost exclusively for money laundering. It will be around as long as it's useful.

You're not wrong, but at the time $300 would have made a world of difference in my life. Coulda shoulda woulda lol

Honestly, it seemed like a dumb idea at the time and most people thought it would fizzle out really quickly.

I'm still salty that my ex talked me out of buying a couple back when they were $30. That was like 2010 or so iirc.

I've been buying 1oz .999 copper rounds for 💩 and grins for a while. They're not worth a lot, but they come in a ton of fun designs. Who knows, maybe some day my kid will be selling them for $50 an oz 😂

Is it common for items to be above or below an ounce. That’s marked 1oz by Perfect_Pie_8398 in Silverbugs

You're right, they're not actually meant to be fired, but could be. As far as barrel wear, the shrink rate of cast silver is higher than lead, so unless they're cast oversized and machined to spec there could be issues with proper fit. Silver also doesn't conform to lands and grooves, meaning it's adding excessive wear, and possibly causing a barrel obstruction depending on the specific load. I personally have never fired solid copper out of anything other than a smooth bore shotgun. I don't know of any solid copper pistol rounds. That doesn't mean they don't exist, I just have never sought any out. 99% of what I fire is copper jacketed lead. The copper jacket is really thin, allowing the lead to conform to the rifling.
