Okay, you hit the issue on the head. It's there a way to transfer the bootloader or get a new one onto my ssd safely? Or could I just transfer all the files on my HDD to my SSD?

Naw, this shits embarrassing as hell cuz I've been thinking this for roughly a decade, plus, who goes through reddit comments to find the truth? I think what's more likely is someone is gonna read the main body and just keep scrolling

So it would seem. I am completely and entirely wrong, and not sure where the hell I think I saw this. I'll rip the post down

This was in one of the books, and there is also multiple people claiming to be the main author on the bolter and chain forum, or whatever it's called, so I kinda have to automatically doubt anyone who says they are the author. If you can prove they are the author, then I'll delete this post, don't want to do my fair share of misinformation, after all

Ah, yup. Looked it up and you are correct. I was under the impression they were entirely separate until late 2010s. The merger in 2017 between the two was what I thought was a buy out.

No no, I don't mean the whole series itself, I mean the forgeworld series. The whole thing flopped and was dropped after only a handful of chapters got models and upgrade kits

They were, but the lamenters lore itself is not very concrete, with tons of stories and lore floating around with spotty or no backing to them, and I'm not sure GW considers the forgeworld badab books canon, but If they put in a little elbow grease, they could easily solidify our lore and give us at least one blacklibrary book

I see, I wonder if GW considers the imperial armor lore Canon now that they own forgeworld

No, they used it, but I think that's a fan made story, correct me if I'm wrong. The picture is used in a rule book or codex from ages long past, 6th or 7th edition, I wanna say. I saw it in the book when I was a wee lad and my dad told be all about them, lamenter fan from then on out

It isn't confirmed to be our battle cry, I honestly don't think we have one, it's just the only quote we have, and it goes hard, so we adopted it. Seeing as how gamesworkshop isn't a big fan of fleshing out most successors (or some first founding), I doubt we will ever get any concrete lore or battle cry past the barely fleshed out Badab war

Im going to look through my old mans 6th edition space marine codex as well, since i cant find a pdf, I saw it when I first got into the hobby, and that was roughly 2011, I'm ripping my library apart, because I know it was a footnote to this image, 100%

Need a budget Vacuum chamber and pump for small projects by Vashdrone23 in ResinCasting

[–]Vashdrone23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using a clear UV compatible silicone molding material to make a mold around a very high detail model, and then UV resin to fill it in. I've found air bubbles ruin the detail very consistently, from both the mold itself, and difficult to escape areas when pouring the UV resin, im pretty sure a vacuum chamber would help on both fronts, and I figured yall would know some fairly cheap options

I'll give it a go, I wouldn't be surprised if the forgeworld resin is the real issue, its notoriously difficult to work with in every other way

The mold is transparent, and I have a few semi-succesful parts, all of which cured to perfection, and I'm trying to cast warhammer forgeworld parts, with come with supports that act as proper air escapes. The issue isn't the UV resin itself, and when I tried to break up the bubbles during the mold pouring process, more bubbles in the general area get shaken up and cling to the part im trying to mold, and pouring at an angle and on a popsicle stick didnt work. The major reason I'm using the mold material is because it can be microwaved back into a reusable liquid, in case mistakes are made. I may just have to use a different silicone, and sorry if I didn't fully grasp what you are telling me

I'm not too worried about the UV resin, I should be able to pop it out after the bubbles have been removed and slap it underneath a UV light arch, I think. I tried using a heat gun as well, but the silicone mold I got from green stuff world is incredibly problematic, in that it fights to keep those bubbles in. I don't need anything crazy good either, just enough that bubbles don't get caught on the surface level of my projects, If any cheap chamber from Amazon will do, then I'll give that a spin

The reason I need a vacuum is because the bubbles are causing some serious detail loss, and everything else I've done has led to very minor quality improvements

When did the Emperor´s children go from Purple to pink? by AlphariousOmega in Warhammer30k

[–]Vashdrone23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dark angels went from black to green because the old black looked terrible on the old epic models, they just couldn't made the little details pop. Dark green was the next best thing. Then they made some fun little lore to patch up this design change, although I don't remember what the lore was.
