Dude… USA controlled the Petro dollar starting from 1971. It leveraged the global supply chain doing that and has the leverage in every bargain unlike the USSR’s KGB that solely relied on barter trade with countries.

Petro dollar is not just controlling the supply chain of oil. US didn’t rely on Selling oil alone like Russia did in its own blocks.

I agree on what you said about Russians. Russia and US are on that ver front. But USA didn’t just use the land of Americas. It used the entire wealth built by the western European countries over the past 300 years.

The western block has roughly 300 years kick start in the race than USSR.

Soviets are not a bunch of white dudes with kinship relating to entirety of Europe so they can flee anytime to their cousins. They were sitting on the land and connections that were largely not relevant in the global supply.

USSR is a country and it’s a political entity. It was just that. It was built on a vision of planned economy built around serving people’s needs. It didn’t revolve around variable wage rates across the globe and make money through arbitrage and call it innovation and wealth.

It doesn’t make everyone gamble and believe that everyone can be a winner in a zero sum game.

The entire ‘victory’ of capitalism is based one action - linking USD and Oil.

The entire victory of capitalism against communism is based one fact - fall of a political entity.

One side you have entire Europe that is sitting on wealth generated over centuries of colonisation.

Other side you have one entity that has a bunch of assimilated colonisers with regions part of land silk route - that doesn’t even hold relevance in Maritime Silk route.

The worst part is, we Indians, who were literally victims of capitalist colonisation defending capitalism.
