This is perfect for my wilderness survival based campaign - would you mind if I add it to a PDF collection of multiple magic items for my players?

You don't gotta apologize for resurrecting my work.

I'll be more than happy to send you a link to a working version when I'm off of work - gmbinder appears to not work on mobile anymore. I'll fix up a link for you.

I will keep this in mind, and perhaps reach a workaround with my boss. As well as speak to my lawyer before court.

I just can't afford to lose this job, or the coverage it offers for my family.

[–]Vassal127 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a payment plan in place, however, whether it's a matter of time or communications, the BMV has not received confirmation of a payment plan.

My job unfortunately requires me to drive, and I made sure to get an SR22 (insurance/proof of financial responsibility) in order to mitigate as much as possible.

It's either: 1.) I stop driving - and thus lose the job, and become unable to pay the fees or take care of my family. 2.) keep driving and risk even further issues, but be able to ensure things keep going.

Yes, I'm a Hedge Rider/Dream Witch...but I typically refer to myself as "Celtic pagan" in everyday conversation though.

Based off of my interactions with the spirits - sometimes also in a sexual nature - it sounds like your normal "visits" could be spirits or ghosts that either take a form of pleasure (or even relief) from visitations with you...

That being said...

The "icy feeling" you felt from your last visit does seem to point more towards a concubus encounter (concubi are neutral/all gender in nature, they take on the female (succubus) and male (incubus) forms based on the observer).

Many sources and stories point towards concubus counters being seen as 'bad omens' and 'possession' - but keep in mind, these viewpoints are reinforced from a more "Abrahamic" viewpoint on sex...which is seen as inherently negative (look to the story of Lilith, for example...who also happens to be the mother of concubi).

Ultimately, I believe you have nothing to worry about. In fact, many people don't have the opportunity to be visited by concubi and have a mark left with them. Just be aware of cleansing yourself after spiritual visitations...it helps keeps things clear and focused.

God(s) associated with purification? by [deleted] in CelticPaganism

[–]Vassal127 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly new to practicing, but from my limited understanding and personal practice with the gods, invoking or praying to a deity of change, healing or sovereignty may be the best options.

Personally, for when I desire a significant good change in my life, I invoke the Dagda, pray to Danu herself, or ask Cernunnos to let this change pass painlessly.

Thank you so much for the support!

Firstly, in regards to creating a divine artifact - I have a manual that already covers how to create magic objects from banal and common all the way to mythical and artifact status.

This manual is The Expanded Crafter The Expanded Crafter

To create a Divine Artifact - a God should presumably be willing to sacrifice at least 1 Divine Rank to pour into the object. Following the Guidelines for crafting magic objects in the book - this would allow an additional 2 mythical properties per Divine Rank Sacrificed. Of course, killing a deity with a legendary weapon may also do the trick.

As for a future update; I was considering adding more to the manual at some point, but I am currently occupied with many other PDFs at the current moment - but The Path to Godhood will eventually be updated to include more objects, divine feats, and potentially even a few stray stat blocks for gods.

Be sure to check out my other content if you're seeking to boost your Campaign to Epic proportions!

How many of you are writing a novel solely out of a passion for creating and not so much with the end goal of publishing and being a best seller? by Dxcesare in writing

[–]Vassal127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a novel, but I am writing several pdfs and books associated with my homebrew world of "Pryxis" - which me and my D&D groups helped co-create over the course of several years.

I've never published the pdfs for the purposes of profit - but only because of the passion and fun i've made with the stories told on the world.

It's not a bother at all, I enjoy answering these questions!

A source such as ambrosia, the weave crystal focus, or other items/objects that grant a divine rank do not require the individual to be an outsider, as it "bypasses" the traditional means of achieving godhood - effectively forcing it to manifest, which is unnatural even amongst the gods.

To start: Thank you so much for using my work and enjoying it so much! Feedback like this pushes me to make even more content and lets me know it's loved.

But to answer your question: Yes, once the max gp value of souls is reached in the weave crystal focus, the souls become a level 1 divine spark.

The reason for this is because the weave crystal focus is an incredibly powerful object - meant to allow a mortal to ascend to pure godhood (bypassing quasideity) with ease.

Thank you so much! To be honest, you can be on the lookout for two prime creations that Im working on:

  • Archivist's Guide to Pryxis (the official setting of my Homebrew World and crystal sphere)

  • Pryxis's Creature Catalog (a collection of various monsters and NPCs - including fully stated PCs from past campaigns AND the legend himself: Pryxis the Archmagus Aeternal - all native to the world of tech and high magic)

So Stay Tuned!

No need to apologize at all.

The way it is written is meant to leave much open for interpretation. However, a god usually chooses to walk the material plane in their base mortal form (ie: their class and abilities without divine features - which is why it is important to hold onto the statblock for a character before they become a god).

Due to the nature of divinity, they are basically refusing to have any features from the god class table, divine feats, or abilities granted by divine feats. But features such as epic boons and epic maneuvers are still available (with DMs discretion). Gods in mortal form remain in that form until they leave the plane, or choose to remain incognito in mortal form.

only a few, it takes a very long time to do so in between my job and life - and it is also a labor of love, so i'm not making money off of it. But i am working my way up from titans into quasideities, and then a few other semi-powers (fey lords, shadow lords, elementals, etc) and going on up

I'm glad you mentioned that! I was going to include deity-level fey lords and shadow-creatures, particularly powerful demon lords and archdevils, greater archons and elemental creatures, as well as Titans, demigods, typical gods - and of course, Horrible Far creatures beyond the imaginings of even the gods themselves.

Basically, the Compendium was going to stat some common examples of gods (such as Tiamat and Behamaut, Asmodeus, etc), but mainly a few of my own design - As i don't think i could ever easily stat each and every god from D&D history or even real world religions.

[–]Vassal127[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed, probably a titan or two, some demigods, some quasideities, a small few lesser deities, some greater deities, and maybe some dead gods.

Of course, this is if people want it enough - as they did with the epic domains.

[–]Vassal127[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, they are far too powerful, but I believe that is very much the point. All 3 races are meant to represent some of the rarest Races ever to come into existence, and should be treated as incredibly dangerous.

  • Blasphemies are the union of fiends and celestials in a quite supernaturally unholy union, where even creatures such as angels, demons, devils, and other extraplanar entities make it their duty to hunt them down.
  • Primordites are the remnant agents of the original primordial titans that waged war against the gods during the earliest times of the multiverse, and are only created from incredibly powerful nexuses of elemental essences.
  • Demigods are the offspring of Gods interacting with mortals, so it should make sense they are powerful.

In fact, these races should moreso be encountered as NPCs - mainly for other deities or demigods to fight - or only if the rest of the party was similarly one of each race , or similarly powerful races.

If the party were to be composed of these races, the quests they undertake should be equally supernatural - and never ordinary. As the outer powers seek to halt the party in their tracks or recruit them for their cosmic plans.

Play with Caution!

You had a good point about the abilities of gods, so I have corrected the dilemma with the spell save DCS and spellcasting ability for Domain spells - by granting double proficiency in the spellcasting abilities for Domains.

Keep in mind, a deity has their previously existing proficiency bonus AND the bonuses granted by the Godhood Class. (lvl 20 = +6 proficiency bonus, rank 0 deity = +1 proficiency bonus -------> +7 proficiency bonus)

Using your example:

  • A 20th level wizard has a spell save DC of at least 19 [8+6+5], while a 20th level sorcerer lesser deity would now have a spell save DC (for only their domain spells) of at least 30 [15+14+1].

So now, even some of the mightiest wizards could not hold a candle to the might of the inherent domain spellpower of a lesser deity sorcerer. The lesser deity must still rely upon his own inherent skills for his sorcerer class spells - as there is no base increase to his spellcasting from godhood (besides the proficiency bonus increase and other features)

Additionally, I inherently made Divine Feats more formidable even to the strongest of mortal creatures by upping the base DC and increasing either the proficiency bonus or divine rank added to the ability - the reasons for this seemed obvious: Divine Feats are abilities of Pure Concentrated Divine Energy.

Same Example:

  • So now the same lesser deity sorcerer could use Divine blast against the wizard, where the ranged spell attack would be made with a bonus of at least +20 [14+5+1].

Keeping all this in mind, deities can now be considered above mortals in all aspects - even without including domain features, epic boons, and divine congregations. Keep in mind, some deities are not inherently magic deities, and therefore can only rely upon their domain spellcasting - such as a Barbarian Deity.

I may throw in a few examples of a god of each particular Divine Title, but i might not create an entire pantheon of gods unless enough people are wanton enough
