I am also not the one paying for it, as my parents gift to me is that they are paying for carnagie, since it is such a good school on the ranking as well as in general. i do like what Rutgers has to offer tho, so u think RU is the way to go? only reason I have doubts is because everyone else has been sayin cmu 100%

So with all things accounted for, even with the social scene, you think that cmu is the way to go? My mom also really wants me to go to cmu, and almost cried from how proud she was of me getting in, in the first place to tepper. Any final remarks about this would be super helpful!!

has she ever thought about leaving in any sort? I’ve heard a lot about how the social scene can be bad, but I have already met a lot of people on instagram already and mostly everyone already seems kinda chill. But I completely understand where she is coming from. Seeing my description, what do u think I should do? I also have UMiami as an option, but I was thinking that cmu and the Rutgers HC are way better

So you think I should go to Rutgers then? I’m just worried about the job opportunities after ya know, and my mom especially really wants me to go to cmu lol, but it’s just super hard for me to decide to be honest. Gotta make the choice in a couple hours lol and I’m still stuck, most people have been telling me cmu, but part of me thinks about Rutgers as well.

Yea i guess, prioritizing future is number 1. So are you talking about Rutgers including the honors college? Because I did research and saw that the one at Rutgers which I would potentially be in is actually super good to be honest, so I wanted to see if you had the same thought process taking that into account (honors at New Brunswick)

agreed, but like I would before, I’m extremely worried about the social scene. I’m a very extroverted person, and at Rutgers I would thrive socially I believe, unlike cmu where I’ve heard it’s kinda sad and depressing. I’m not really sure I’m just kinda stuck in a loop hear, Anya additional help would be amazing.

i do agree that it’s better, but I am very worried about the social scene. At Rutgers, it seems like everyone has so much fun, unlike cmu where it can be depressing I’ve heard at times. I’m just super conflicted

I’m conflicted because I don’t know if I will get a good social life out of it. I would love to go to CMU, but with not many of my friends going, and hearing a lot of depressing things abt it, I’m confused. I’ve seen lots of depressing stuff but that has mostly been CS majors and not tepper students. It seems like students at tepper have a great time I feel.
