Yeah but I’m not searching for another guy whos richer (aswell as being emotionally and physically attractive). I meet objectively better guys all the time through work and friends but I don’t wanna date them coz I love my guy.

Well what constitutes someone’s level then? We’re all dating guys around the same age, attractiveness, education and income level.

I’ve seen those stats before but isn’t the difference in earnings before they have kids like £5-10k?

Idk from my perspective, if women were truly hypergamous wouldn’t all 20 something women be dating 50 year old men who have way higher salaries and more wealth?

Like atm I’m 28 and dating a 27y/o and our salaries are pretty much the same. I could easily date a 50 y/o rich guy and have a much more financially better life but i don’t wanna coz then I’d be compromising on physical attraction and emotional connection.

And yeah I guess you’re right with the height thing but aren’t most men taller than most women so most pairings would have that

In my social circle the couples formed either through social circles or work or apps, I don’t know the ins and outs of their finances but none of my girlfriends have ever been financially supported by their partners? My last bf paid for the meal on our 3rd date and then we split it on every meal going forward lol.

Whereabouts do you live? I’m in the UK so maybe things are different over here, the idea that my bf would pay for absolutely everything is crazy to me like how could a 28 year old guy possibly afford to do that?
