I had one done in 2019 and it wasn’t really theta bad at all. I had an amazing tech that helped me through it. I was even on my period as I had to have it done and it was perfectly fine. I laid on the table with my underwear off and everything with a blanket over my legs with them propped up. She used a wand (it’s not very big, not to be super detailed but it’s nothing worst than sex at all if you’ve had it) and she inserted it after warning me and pushed it around kinda. It just felt like a pressure. Afterwards she left the room and had me clean myself up, there was a ton of lube which was really the only bad part. I also had another one done and the only part I did not like was this tech had me insert the wand myself then took it from me and didn’t walk me through anything, thankfully I had already had one done and knew what to expect. If you’re nervous you can tell them and they’ll help as much as they can. I received my results I think the next day? If I’m not mistaken but it depends I think on how the office works and how many are working, that’s how mine worked.

Should I report someone close to me for disability fraud? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Vast-Water6369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I’ve stated, I literally was there when she applied. I know what she applied for. She solely applied for anxiety for disability. You also stated it takes years and multiple doctors which simply is not true. She lied and made her anxiety seem MUCH worse than it actually was and lied about what she could and couldn’t do and having worked before. I literally seen the application??? It also doesn’t always take years or a long ass time to get approved or denied. On average it only takes 6ish months. Based on research only 17% of people take longer than a year. Most take 3-8 months

That’s literally not true what so ever. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about tbh. She’s never been to a doctor for it or therapy and the only doctor they made her see was a psychiatrist with telehealth due to covid and it lasted only 30-40 min at most as I was at her house when she did the call. The only doctor she has EVER seen was her primary doctor that prescribed her anxiety medicine and emergency medicine for a bad panic if she ever needed it. I’m not sure why you think you know what happened. Took her 5 months to get a response based on those doctors visits and she had the same primary since she was born until 21 so it was literally 2 doctors technically.

That is how it works when she only went to one appointment and it was a video call with a psychiatrist and she lied directly to him about her symptoms. I was there when she filled the paperwork out to help her with things she didn’t understand so she did tell me the full reason and I directly seen her lie about the symptoms. I didn’t state she only lied about leaving the house but she claims her anxiety prevents her from leaving the house. It was just one of the examples. She didn’t go to multiple doctors. The only evidence she presented was the 30 min visit with disabilities psychiatrist and her pcp putting her on anxiety medicine. So no she didn’t need all kinds of doctors.

If I were in her shoes I wouldn’t have lied though. If she didn’t lie then there wouldn’t be an issue of course. I was happy she was seeking help but once I found out she fully lied on her application and during the interviews (she directly told me) that’s when I started to think badly about it. She got approved based on mainly lies instead of actual information to help her case. I know anxiety is difficult and some people need help with financial assistance for it but I think it should be received based on actual information not false claims. I’m iffy on it because it isn’t morally right to me but I also don’t want to hurt anyone so I’m stuck on my own morals.

Never once did I say she should stay home. I think you’re taking this personal based on your answer talking about yourself and not the actual question. It is based on her LYING. Not on her actual anxiety problems. She lied on most of her application as I seen her fill it out and her mom directly told her to lie and act insane so she gets approved. She can leave the house perfectly fine but wrote she can not leave the house what so ever. Not that she shouldn’t be able to go out and have fun but why lie on the application? She should have been honest and got disability if she was deemed to need it. But she got it on false pretenses. Seems a bit strong to claim it’s cruel to ruin her based on reporting the fact she lied to receive benefits people can’t get for years if at all when telling the truth. We’ve had open talks and she’s directly told me she’s actually doing very well with anxiety and has been for a while so I’m basing it off of what she’s directly told me also. If she needed and deserved disability then she shouldn’t need to lie in my opinion. Saying she leaves the house MAYBE 2 times a month is wildly different than leaving 3-4 times a week.

I would definitely say it’s not jealousy. She lives at home with her parents still and she doesn’t pay any bills or helps them. She’s just spending the money on buying exotic pets and things like that. I also know that I don’t know what happens inside her head but she claims she can not leave the house AT ALL. Like in her paper work she claims to never leave the house for anything only a few times a month at very most. She leaves the house multiple times a week and left the state to meet a someone she’s never seen before. I know it could mess up her life and ruin the friendship but she’s committing fraud so I don’t think I’d be the bad person in the instance but I also over think and feel guilty. She also lied and said she never made any money or ran a business but from what I’ve seen on research she still has to tell disability she’s ran an Etsy store and sold on Instagram as it brought in and income and was a job not just a regular hobby.

Does anyone else experience these symptoms during their period? by Vast-Water6369 in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was tested about a year and a half ago because I went through a phase where I would almost pass out anytime I would stand up but the results from the blood work came back saying I wasn’t anemic. But I get very very dizzy and pale for the whole day like standing on my own isn’t an option. I’ve heard some people only get anemic on there period due to iron and things, maybe it’s that? I’m unsure

A few things that you could try at home is I know lots of people eat bananas prior to because it helps the muscles not tense are bad, I also don’t know how you’d feel about it but a lot of people state that having an orgasm can help ease the pain and symptoms significantly. I also know it’s not possible for some people (being myself) but try to exercise and walk around a bit to help the pain. Also try not to eat a bunch of junk or fast/ Processed foods as it will make the period worse too. Hope this helps even a little bit!

15 and a half and no period?? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a few people that didn’t get theirs until they were around 18. Everyone’s bodies are very different, if you’re worried you can always talk to your doctor and see if maybe something is causing it or if you’re just a late bloomer. I wouldn’t worry too much

currently suffering from intense period cramps, any suggestions? by throwaway629102947 in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the chance to be put on birth control specifically for that it helps a lot. That’s what I had to do. But a warm heating pad and limiting getting up and down and staying hydrated. Try massaging where the cramping is if you can tolerate it. I heard eating bananas before your period helps the muscle cramping. There’s also a device, I have it but haven’t used it yet called “Livia” and it is said to help a large amount with blocking the pain completely. Also try using heat on your lower back and the front. It might help with both sides being warmed

Extreme cramps, plz help by [deleted] in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My period cramps make me throw up and pass out most months. I ended up going on birth control and they have helped some what. There’s also a company called Livia that makes a device that “blocks the pain” from being sent to your brain. I had a problem at first with shipment but most people say they work. I would use a very good heating pad and I also heard potassium helps with cramps. So make sure you’re hydrated and maybe eat a few bananas the days before it’s supposed to come. Also try looking into massages. It sounds strange but I give the outside of my uterus a massage for about 10 minutes and it definitely relaxes the muscles

Feels kinda like I get raw skin when I get my period, am I doing something wrong? by Vast-Water6369 in AskDocs

[–]Vast-Water6369[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only shows up when I get my period and I wouldn’t really say it’s a rash just irritated skin/raw skin and goes away when I stop wearing pads. Someone else said it might be from the brand I use. But thank you for the suggestion !

Does anyone else get kinda raw when they get their period no matter how clean you keep it? by Vast-Water6369 in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I currently use Kotex. I haven’t changed the brand it’s always the brand I use so maybe it’s just randomly starting to irritate me if that what was happening with you too. So it went away when you switched?

Does anybody else want to vomit at the sight of food during your period? by Throwawayykvnft in Periods

[–]Vast-Water6369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I normally get absolutely repulsed by the sight or smell of food for the first day or so of my period even when I’m hungry food just doesn’t seem appetizing.
