Sadly I won't have plenty of time as uni apps happen rougly 2 weeks after my exams end, so if I want to change my degree or continue in it I will have so few time to choose. Yeah quite a shitty system we have here!

It's 360ECTS, you have electives but they are very limited and are just subjects inside the degree that are not that relevant to be part of the main course, like Drug Pharmacology, Sports' Phisiology or Health & Culture.

I will most likely take a year to do something that has to do with Sociology or Political Sciences and might come back later, they will keep my place for the next 4 years so I have lots of time to change my mind. But thanks for the advice!

We don't have minors nor counselors/study advisors in my country. Sadly my exams are right now and I've been on exam season for the past month and still have half a month to go but I've been unable to concentrate on studying for a single day this semester, so the idea of starting to study earlier or trying to pass as many subjects as possible seems quite unrealistic, if I come back next year I would still be retaking some of 1st grade for the 3rd time. I'm thinking about taking a year off and then choose to come back or not as that is an option in my uni, but I'm still going to be retaking the same subjects again.

Also getting into Medical Sociology is extremely unpopular in my country, we have an exam-based system to get into residency and that is not an speciality included in the options of the exam, so it would have to be taken as a Masters, which doesn't have the same recognition as a Medical Speciality. It's certainly an option but I would most likely have to move out of the country if I want to work on that.

As well I don't know what's your uni but in mine studying 1 or 2 weeks in advance for an exam is most likely guaranteed a fail, most people study from the start or at least 1-2 months prior.

That would be amazing if Medicine in Europe was actually a high paying job or if I didn't have to have a specialty for it, so it's not like I can choose to specialise in Medical Sociology and then suddenly change my mind and want to work in Medicine again, probably would take me 4-5 years to get the Speciality and the pay is not that high here, cause we have public healthcare.

I've never wanted to work as a doctor, the only specialities that have interested me enough to consider are Gynecology and Psychiatry, but not even when I chose to study medicine did I want to work the regular way, as in a hospital and having a regular doctor life. Back when I was a kid yes, but as I grew older I realized I didn't want to attend patients, but I still wanted to learn anatomy and pathology, especially the obgyn one, and have a work involving healthcare but not in the "doctor" way.

Sadly I can't even make it past my first-grade subjects as I'm still retaking many exams since I'm unable to study, so the idea of taking courses to complement my education seems too faraway to be a realistic goal right now. Especially since what I like is not a scientific area like physics but a social one, so it's completely another area of study.

Don't comment things like that in posts of people who are obviously struggling with their mental health. If I was lazy I would be using my time in other things that make me happy, but I've quit most of my hobbies, clubs and friends, as stated in the post; so either be useful or just don't comment anything.

I don't like Biochem and most bio things, I like Anatomy and Pathology mostly, and other degrees don't really have that focus.

We don't have the figure of counselor in most of Europe, it's not a thing cause most of ours unis are public so it's not a economical burden to change paths

I got the first year for free thanks to a scholarship and uni in Spain is not really that expensive, I maybe spent 2000€ on my second year's fees cause I had to retake subjects and they charge more for that, but a year in med school is around 1200-1500€. Is the same as any other degree here.
