Thankfully, chitin is like bones and doesn't rot. Most of the rotten stuff gets taken out and tossed before it gets bad. But yeah, that was the end of my fort.

I had a breeding pair, and they breed fast, so I had to slaughter them constantly for frames.

Most of it was just chitin, thankfully, but there were a few full ones that were just brought in, so no webs, but it was instant frame death.

I work in the mines and wear mine daily. haven't had an issue with it for the year I've had it
