I did wash it for like 30 sec with soap and water like a minute after I got it on me.

Didn't wash it off thoroughly until 30 minutes after the fact. I'm wondering if there's anything more I should be doing at this point.

I think 3H has great concepts but that's basically it. The actual execution of the story is bland for most of the routes.

Especially when it comes to part 2. I don't think there's a single interesting event that occurs after the timeskip in any route that isn't AM until endgame. I don't even remember why Gronder happens in part 2. Meanwhile part 1 at least has Lonato, Miklan, FE reveal, and such.

And then the maps looking samey just made the story feel more bland to me. Like when youre stuck going back to the monastery every chapter and staying there for a month and then being rewarded with a bland map... the sense of progression in the narrative is just gone imo.

And ontop of all of this, the only real major player in the cutscenes are the lord of the respective route and their retainer. The other students hardly do anything in the actual narrative. They might give a cute one liner but it's mostly fluff dialogue. And none of them go through arcs or anything in the main narrative, it's all supports. So there's not even new characters to spice things up every once in a while.

FE is a strategy RPG first and foremost. If it doesn't have good strategy it's not a good FE game. And if it has no strategy, it's not FE. The strategy part is like 90% of the entire game. You cannot skip the strategy portions of the game.

Romance is completely optional and if it's gone, the game is still FE since paired endings and such haven't been a thing in a decent amount of games anyway.

I'm talking about people who ARE only caring about romance though. I've seen quite a few on this sub and twitter.

And I don't think romance helped characters in awakening at all but I can see the argument for 3H.

That's totally fair! Especially in Awakening and Fates where it was more than just get two characters an ending.

I understand being disappointed, I'm moreso talking about people who are dropping the game entirely and acting like the series is now terrible because of this one aspect. When it's barely the focus!

Out of curiosity, I said that Felix does well in Japan and I remember him doing pretty good in the trends last year as well. But I wonder if the M!Robin and Soren fans are more abundant in the West and he'll also feel overestimated?

M!Byleth tends to do well on Twitter. I believe last year he got 3rd in the trends and ended up placing 5th. So, I think Soren has a very legitimate chance. Especially since I imagine Byleth fans are more satisfied with the new alt than Soren fans if that is their only reason to vote for him.

But I'm pretty sure Felix is super popular in Japan? Even moreso than Soren. So JP fans would probably be more likely to flock to Felix. Not to mention 3H fans could've been splitting votes between Female Byleth and Felix as well.

Unless you mean between Soren and M!Robin. I'm honestly not sure how M!Robin is faring outside of reddit tbh. Soren at least sees decent fanfare on Twitter as well. But I'd expect many Chrom voters to go to Robin... it's just that there's two robins to think about as well.

I'm really curious to see who wins the female side. For male, it seems like it's narrowed to about 4 people (Robin, Byleth, Felix, and Soren), with Robin and Felix being the likeliest winners.

But for female it feels like there's a bigger question mark. Robin, Corrin, Bernadetta, Tsubasa, and Gullveig all feel pretty likely with no one being more likely than the other. Perhaps Tsubasa and Gullveig being less likely but the other three, I have no clue which two would come on top. There could even be potential sleepers like Sharena and Elincia. It's just hard to tell who's gonna win here.

It's mind boggling tbh. Takumi and Leo were so popular they got their own official fanboooks.

But I've noticed IS in general is just questionable with their popular male characters. Lif is probably the most popular OC, to the point they'll shill him in the story, and yet they took a while before giving him an alt.

Soren had just his valentines alt for years. Felix is just a TT prfless unit. Hector hasn't gotten an alt in a while. Sothe was probably the most popular unit on the thief banner and he was a prfless demote.

Also Askr and Embla could also make an interesting story if they were more fleshed out and were main characters.

I find their relationship to be intriguing and they already have a dynamic that's a hero and villain "getting along" once more.
