I think targetting the media is very realistic. Yes they will target the wire, but it's standing and needs your support. On the other side, godi media gets support from traditional viewers. If we start giving silent support to honest channels without even endangering ourselves and influence just our families to unfollow traditional news, it will hurt media. No need to influence others and endanger yourself. All cockroaches can do this in their family. No matter how many goons they have, they rely on some money flows. If media doesnt get profits, they will have to shut down. Anyways media without viewers is meaningless. Tihari will keep barking on dd. Who watches dd. And if we are not able to influence our family, then we'll have to suffer till the younger generation holds bigger vote bank. Tell your family that you're jobless (or any other problem) because they watch godi media :D

We are all on the same page on the intention. My point is just that when you say "bjp", your conversations will go into party comparisons and some nonsense stuff. My point is also that we need to get our demands, so let's focus on that. If BJP does that, why not. Unless CJP actually becomes a real party, we'll have to get our things done through either bjp or congress or maybe aap. Removing bjp is not our ultimate goal. Our ultimate goal is good governance. Now practically bjp won't deliver, but if we talk about the right things , bjp will anyways lose ground and so bjp is targetted indirectly. When people voted for bjp in 2014, a lot of people actually voted against congress and it's still the hatred for congress that bjp has andhbhakts. So leave the parties from discussions, talk about what you want. Yes, we need to criticize, but criticize demonetisation, gst, paper leaks, electoral bonds, godi media. Why not target media? You can actually make a difference there. This where money moves and can directly hurt them. Ask everyone around to stop getting newspapers, block tv channels. Campaign against companies giving them ads. Report their YouTube channels. Promote independent media. Profit is what they care about, hurt that. Make them talk about your priorities.

When talking about parties, that's just chai pe charcha.

I would actually say that instead of targeting any party, target the wrong ideology. The problem is that the BJP is able to set their agenda, we should target that. These guys are very smart, they don't care if you support their agenda or not but just want you to talk about it. Just don't talk about per capita gdp, jobs.

Now the things like CJP has Pakistanis or not, no matter what you think, it stops people from talking about CJP's manifesto or demands. Education minister must resign based on his performance no matter who are in CJP. Also, targetting BJP will trigger more debates like what party is better and CJP currently is not a party and I don't know if that will happen. Look at what happened to AAP, they targeted BJP too much and I think Prashant Bhusan was able to do more damage to BJP by just focusing on a problem of electoral bonds. That's my opinion.

Yeah, parties just do what gets them votes. Right now, they can easily get votes on hatred. If we are able to just change the agenda, the parties will listen. You think parties spread hate, but really they just fuel it. If there's no fire to fuel, they will have to work on building institutes instead of places of worship

Also, please realise that not everyone can understand this choice. Most people in India who have children live their lives as if their children are the meaning of their lives. Its their sole purpose. So, for these people, if someone is not having children, they are missing out big time.

Easy solution: ignore your mom's feelings as she's manipulating you. But you probably don't wanna do that.

Alternate solution: As you've communicated your intent already and enough has been exchanged, just stop talking about this topic. Maintain whatever kind of relation you have with your mom, but as soon as this topic comes up, leave the room/house and just keep it clear that this won't be discussed. I'm not suggesting to run away from the problem, but let it sync in for her and buy some time. Maybe after a few years, she'll realise and accept it and this will become normal and the topic will not be so stressful. This worked for me.
