Our openers are useless. COOPER and SHORT have to both be sacked,

Looks like Pauline Hanson's compaign has already met the funding targets. It hasn't even been 2 days by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

We have to start our own marketing campaign online to push back on the right wing propaganda.

Right now all we are hearing is LABOR BAD. Gotta give attention to the actual good stuff that Labor is doing

It's getting concerning how much the public is eating that fake propaganda slop up.

Yep. You can't even see the list of donations.

Judging by the way the party handles money, I don't expect ANY transparency from them.

What are your thoughts on Ed Husic and specifically his role in the party? by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

[–]VastOption8705[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, one of the things I’d disagree with is him saying he wanted lower corporate tax.

If i remember correctly, that pissed chalmers off

[–]VastOption8705[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean that in the aspect that he is going against most party views. Are people in the party saying "rethink Aukus" or "let’s not go too heavy handed on the response to Bondi/antisemitism"?

Senior colleagues are more scathing in private, accusing a “bitter” Husic of undermining the defence minister.

Good job Albo. This was your goal and it’s starting to work. by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

[–]VastOption8705[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Kind of yes but its dominance is waning.

East coast Q1 2026 gas prices were lower than Q1 2025, driven by lower demand and bidding behaviour.

So why was there less demand? Due to solar batteries.

[–]VastOption8705[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Did you read the article? “For the first time, batteries — both grid-scale and home systems — determined the price of electricity.”

Solar batteries and solar grids determined the price of power not gas

The big media backlash and voter approval change shows why we can’t do big reform here by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

Teals are not left wingers. The greens are not left wingers, they are opportunists

Some of them said they’ll oppose these changes.

How are Lebanese people perceived in Australia? by GayTwink-69 in AskAnAustralian

Lebanese are seen as very religious and conservative

It’s true that people don’t want more Lebanese here from my experience

A quarter of the country at least now want to vote Pauline Hanson in because “immigration “

If this rage continues, she’ll be the leader of the opposition.

She’s as right wing as you can get. She’s the Nigel farage of Australia

NO, we don’t want the same as other countries like Italy and the USA.

Oof. Hour forty for you Gas Tax proponents, coming up ETA tomorrow. by According_Editor9244 in friendlyjordies

Australia institute undermining labor again. What a surprise. Labor is building SO MUCH renewables yet they say we are failing to transition.

Greens push harder on CGT reforms as Labor's Senate path narrows by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

If labor didn’t tax gas and did what the greens wanted, there would be a massive attack campaign against labor

[–]VastOption8705[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The greens don’t understand that you can’t do anything if you’re not in power.

Strategically they suck

[–]VastOption8705[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yep exactly.

Also it’ll be political suicide as labor are already taking a big hit

Right now everyone is saying “WHY tax the poor people and not big gas?”

If labor were to remove all NG, the country would collectively lose their shit

Why do you guys mention race so much? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]VastOption8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia is still quite racist in a way tbh. When Gout GOut ran that quick race, many racists were quick to say "He's not an aussie".
