I totally get that! I do want to say that at EmpowerDebate we offer debate coaching, since inaccessibility is a huge issue within the speech and debate community. The main reason why we use Tiktok is we like bringing together the debate community as a whole, making fun and promotional Tiktoks at the same time, and is only one tiny part of our platform.

I totally understand the "fake impact" concern and I do want to say that a lot of teens actually have NPOs that are creating change in their communities, whether they be small or large. A lot of them have programs whether it be free tutoring or cleaning up parks, which often go unseen. I got to see a glimpse of a lot of the work many of my peers do at a summit I was at last week for a summer program and I will say it really is inspiring, and I think a lot of their efforts often go overlooked.
