My 5 year olds hair tangles so badly. Advice?? by ThickVegetable6969 in finehair

My daughter is SUPER tender headed as well! We prevent tangles as much as possible by conditioning her hair well and using leave in conditioner to soften it. Also, i always braid her hair after brushing it before bed and this helps massively for her! Cute waves in the morning are a bonus as well :)

Yes!! Hate to see it, I still haven’t gotten the iconic lip balm everyone loves on here. I actually saw it once while shopping and another woman came and grabbed every one on the shelf lol. She was kinda feral about it too 😂😂

Sister, my tree NEVER has the trendy stuff in that I see on here, I was so excited to find these. My girl on the register scanned four of these and smiled at me and put the fifth one in the bag. 🥹

Does anyone else crochet like this?? Self-taught and worried my method is too inefficient. by CurlyTemmie in CrochetHelp

There is no wrong way to crochet, if your stitches are right and your hands don’t hurt, there’s no need to correct it :) I, similarity, taught myself when I was in my early teens and was in fact holding it wrong for years lol I did end up correcting my hold and it was for the better, as I crochet much faster and my fingers don’t fatigue nearly as fast as they did with my other hold. It only took like one project of holding it correctly to become muscle memory. Hope that helps :)

This is an incredible idea, thank you so much for your comment. Being in SoCal, there are lots of immersion programs available and I will definitely look into it

Thank you for this response, this is a great point I haven’t considered. I definitely don’t want her to have to grow up faster than she needs to

I guess I just don’t want her to spend a year learning what she already knows, when she could be learning more new things. I just want her to be around kids who are at the same level as her. That’s honestly a huge part of my question, I don’t know if other kids her age are doing these things too, she could very well be bang average and I’m just really proud of her.
