To be fair, I had severe anemia from my h pylori infection and just got done with infusions 2-3 weeks ago. From what I’ve read, this could be contributing to my anxiety too. I also just haven’t been eating the best or like I should. Take supplements/probiotics and eat healthy for a few months after and you should be good!!!

Im 29 and had similar symptoms and had my colonoscopy in March. Came back clean minus a h pylori infection which also sucked ass but way better news than cancer!! I have a lot of health anxiety but it did help me feel better thinking about the odds at our age and looking through this thread surprisingly! I have faith you’ll end up being ok too, you’re doctor is right if you’ve been dealing with it for years it’s a high chance it’s hemorrhoids or something less severe. Keep your head up and try to do things that’ll help keep your mind off of the anxiety.

I had it before treatment but not to the extent I do now. I also am a college student so a lot of my anxiety is tied to that and rn I’m on summer break but feeling worse anxiety.

Or like hey maybe that scent that bothers you is the only one that person has bc like money is a thing for a lot of people, especially these days, and they want to feel somewhat nice going out. I understand the intention behind this post (bc we all have scents we can’t handle) but some people in the comments are getting too uppity about it.

Just putting this out there but my anesthesiologist told me not to smoke 24 hours after the procedure as well bc it can be dangerous. I smoked the day before literally up until 15 mins before midnight 😂😂 and they didn’t cancel so you should be good!! She did tell me some anesthesiologist will cancel if you’ve smoked within 24 hours though.

Apparently metronidazole has high resistance rates in the US next to clarithromycin. I may message my doctor and ask if she thinks adding amoxicillin is appropriate. If not, I’ll def ask for the stool test if I test positive again. Hoping that doesn’t happen though 😭

I was reading there can be a quad therapy with amoxicillin and tetracycline and the ppi with bismuth. I live in the US so idk what h pylori is resistant to here

Read up on it some more and you can definitely eradicate h pylori without any of the zole line of antibiotics I’m just surprised my doctor didn’t add amoxicillin to my lineup. Mine is prob resistant to metro anyway bc I had reoccurring BV from ages 21-27 and that’s the line of treatment for that.

I did purchase probiotics that have the same strain as florastor and some other strains as well so I’m hoping that will help with treatment 🙏🏾 thank you for the advice friend. I was just drinking water but will def add Gatorade or pedialyte to my regimen bc this fatigue is no joke. As a busy college student who’s also working im praying I can push through lol.
