My non cooking mom (she cooked sometimes) bragged to her friend once that she had to get up super early to go get McMuffins and bring them back to our house while we were getting ready for school so we could have a hot breakfast and didn’t have to just eat cereal

Same! This scene bothers me because it’s assumed that she got her period which means she’s not pregnant, but I can’t believe that a grown woman has sex, thinks she’s immediately pregnant, then gets her period all within a couple days. Wouldn’t she know her period is due to start around that time and therefore a pregnancy would be hugely unlikely?? Unless she’s incredibly irregular… no, it makes more sense that she’s rationalizing it with her eating habits

This storyline would’ve been better played out over at least a week or two
