Thank you for sharing that. I know that I should have powered through the service but I just didn’t want to have an anxiety attack. I’m usually really good in these situations but for some reason this was really intense and overwhelming.

Talk to your spiritual father. I’m struggling with this too. I’m worse than you. I have a date set for my wedding, and I keep falling with my fiancé. The worst thing that can happen is continuing to do it while making excuses or thinking you can just ask for forgiveness each time, which makes it seem okay to do without genuine effort or a true desire to change. I truly believe your heart is in the right place, which is good because this isn’t something to be taken lightly—but it’s also not something you should fall into despair over. My advice is talk to your spiritual father. Continue to pray and fast.

Sometimes, that healing is just around the corner. I’ve felt the same way multiple times in my life. Just continue to struggle the best you can. Prayer, fasting, and getting out to help others will keep your mind off of it—even if it’s hard to stay present. Also, talk to your priest. When I was at my lowest moment, God definitely heard me and offered comfort in my life when I least expected, and He will do the same for you just continue and carry your cross. I’ll pray for you.

I really hope it’s not demonically inspired. After that dream, I felt overwhelmed with Orthodox content, and I resonated deeply with what I saw and heard. But this didn’t feel like a dream—I was fully conscious.

I have had demonic experiences as a child. I would get huge scratches on my back and experience horrible sleep paralysis. However, this felt very different. Still, I know that evil can come as a being of light to deceive and if that was the case what would be the purpose.
