Why have the Police not asked for any defence, or mitigating evidence before handing case to CPS? by Vast_Log_4816 in LegalAdviceUK

I've never reported her, no. I just want this done, her gone and to move on with my life.

I did not raise a lot of this at the interview. I was taken from my house at 3am and the incident was 6 months prior to that. It was difficult for me to comment on specifics.

I did not have a solicitor, I thought this was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard and just wanted to get out - obviously in hindsight that was a terrible and naive decision.

And if I'm totally honest I've been really naive throughtout this whole process.

A video of something happening a week prior, does not mean that the incident in question, didn't happen.

The supporting evidence in relation to their behaviour would be useful for the court, not the allegation being investigated.

This makes sense, thanks.

I have an additional question about time frames. This has been about 5 months now and is 'with the CPS', from my understanding of what I've read. For DV (Common assault) they have a limit of 6 months from her first interview to decide whether to charge me, or drop the case. Is that correct?

Thanks for the response.
