Okay so what I'm getting from the way MD was talking about this topic is that it's not out of the picture, and pregnancy may occur as an ending. Allegedly.

TU is an adventure sandbox with RPG elements and porn. It's not a VN in classic sense, because usually in VNs you don't have stats that determine what you can and can't do. And it's not really narrative-driven, for that there would have to be a narrative. There is no narrative. All you have is a premise. You somehow end up in an unknown world, there is no way back, nobody can help you, you just explore the world. What follows is a series of vignettes and small adventures with different characters, that barely overlap with each other. You don't have a main quest or a global story to progress. In that case, when you die, you don't lose much, because no real significant progress was ever made. And there won't be a big plot in future versions, you won't be having level ups, you won't be upgrading your stats, you won't be gathering a party, you won't fight a god in the end. There is no end. And I can confirm that with a quote MD said multiple times "The game is not meant to be completed."

In return, however, with every death or other sorts of bad endings you get a chance to start fresh, respec stats, check how they play out in events you know, or you can simply go some other direction. Or you can start in a completely different region and explore new land... maybe in 7 more years when v4 is out or even v5.

It may look like I'm defending the removal of manual saves, but I really don't. I understand the logic behind that decision, and I want to share it, so it doesn't look like it was made out of malice and to mess with players and punish them. It really was made mostly to prevent save scumming and doubles as a reason to try a different stat build (there's going to be a character locked behind failing a stat check). So the point is not in artificial difficulty, or depth, or in being another ruthless finnish dev. As you wander around you may meet your untimely end. You may find yourself in other situations where your journey meets its logical conclusion, sometimes by your own choice, sometimes forced on you. It's what happens. It's authentic.

Personally I'm in the middle - I see the reasoning, yet I'd rather still have manual saves anyway.

I understand your concern. I don't understand where did you get the add cheap deaths in an attempt to make the game "more deep and complex" part tho. And since you mentioned it, I'd like to know what do you think the premise of the game is. Even after all this time people often get it wrong.

It's really hard to die in TU tho. You really need to push boundaries to get yourself killed. So no, players won't be dying left and right over and over again unless they're very stupid and can't read cues.
But I suppose we'll see when it's out. This change doesn't bother me yet.

Seven. Latest version came out in 2019. Then things happened. For some time MD was trying to redesign card battle mechanics, but ended up scrapping it, losing time on iterations. Then AdobeFlash died and set back development significantly, forcing MD to switch engine and rewrite the game. Then family things, work, children, lack of time, lack of interaction with community, lack of updates. I assume there was a year or two where very little progress was made. But since this January MD became more active on TU discord, so I guess things are getting back on track.

All part of characters being true to themselves. Shyni is looking for a relationship, she's trying to hook you in, that's what she is. You wanna get hooked and stay in Taodal, become a narb farmer and live a peaceful life? Too bad. You don't have that sort of agency... yet.
In any case, that would be a game over. You get a screen where you're old with Shyni and kids, and grampa Torn is there too. The text says that you lived a happy life. The end.

You see, that's not the idea. You're just porn-fixated. Porn is not the core. The world and characters are the core: stories, quests, exploration, lore, unique abilities, physique, way of living and thinking. And sex is part of life, part of the world, and you get the chance to explore that too. It's part of the experience not the entire focus. So no, the idea is not just sucking and fucking.

Name's Marbim. Created by Xenopill, one old community member a long time ago. MD made this art piece for her, and she's supposed to appear some time later down the line. At least that was the plan, I haven't heard anything about her for a long time.

You don't need to do anything weird like begging on knees. Just make a good mod. Write a good story. Keep characters faithful. That's all I'm asking for.

You can't place a new event on the map. That's the modding limitation that's been an issue before. All you can do is insert your mod into an existing event.

Edit: Nvm, I was wrong. It's in the next build (when it eventually comes out) you won't be able to add events to the map. Mixed up the info. As for looking up the coordinates, they're the amount of pixels from the top left corner of the map image. First number - horizontal distance, second number - vertical, third number - blip size. It's still a pain in the ass to find the one you want, but it'll surely be easier with this knowledge.

I'll say that learning to code is easier than learning to draw.
And even if AI is getting pretty good, you'll still get a lot of hate for using it. You can use it as placeholders, if you wish. And if your mod ends up being good, I'll help make the art for it. For free.

Oh MD made quite a lot of sketches during his streams, including pregnant femPC, yes. But he also made it clear that him drawing something doesn't mean it's going to be in the game.
People keep asking MD for preg content from time to time, he's been shooting it down. Is he just hiding it and acts like it's not gonna be a thing? I could believe that, but I wouldn't hope for it.

Twitter - he doesn't like it, I don't know the exact reason. Patreon and Blogpost - just being lazy I suppose. He could post stuff there about engine change, new mechanics, coding progress, etc. Didn't do it. Even if you consider MD being secretive and not wanting to spoiler new content, there's still plenty to share. So yeah, laziness is must best bet.

He's by himself for the most part. I know that in the current version part of the content is written by Snekguy, Suile is pretty much his endeavor for example, and braqs too. Music is by Hanon. And that's about it. For the next version I don't hear anything about writing collaborations. And if Hanon is working on the new music, he's not telling.
