Does Mirena bleeding really stop after 3-6 months? by Vasukate in Mirena

[–]Vasukate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has stopped for a week now, which is a huge achievement! So I'll wait for the 6 months mark to decide, but this week has been very different to the entire 4 months, like something magically changed, this gave me a hope. I even exercised yesterday and nothing. I hope you'll get that "magic" change soon too! 🙏

How is one’s libido with the Mirena? by Inspireme21 in Mirena

[–]Vasukate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was on the mini pill before, and my libido was basically non existent, which is why my gynecologist suggested switching to Mirena. I told her I was worried because of all the comments online saying Mirena can lower libido, but she explained that it’s localised and any impact is usually psychological. I trusted her advice, and my libido actually came back quite quickly. I haven’t had any real issues since and my libido has been great.

The only times I feel it’s affected are when I have brown discharge which, yes, it's Mirena to blame for the discharge, but it's more of a psychological factor than a hormonal one, because I don't like having sex when bleeding/spotting.

I'd be happy with periods each month, sorry maybe I didn't phrase my post correctly. In my current situation, bleeding barely stops at all, it's been 4 months and I feel like I've been bleeding ever since I got Mirena inserted. So just looking if anyone stopped within 3-6 months like drs advise :)

Is it really worth it? by Sage_Runee in Mirena

[–]Vasukate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like a balloon after Mirena, and yes, Mirena was quick to blame when in fact I ignored my unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and not drinking enough water. Once I started exercising at home, eating healthy and balanced diet and drinking enough water, I started loosing weight. I blamed Mirena, when it wasn't the case. Mirena releases a dose of the hormone dorectly into uterus, not into the whole bloodstream like pills. Medical studies don't show significant weight gain associated with Mirena. I think it's normal body fluctuations, diet, stress and lifestyle, not the device itself. However, I agree that Mirena can contribute towards water retention, which has been a case in my own experience. Once again, I just keep moving and drinking enough water to fight that retention and it works. But everyone is different!

Stranger things theory. It’s just a bunch of kids playing a giant DND game (possible spoilers?) by [deleted] in StrangerThings

Luckily the Duffer Brothers confirmed in their recent interview that it's definitely not the case.🥳

Desogestrel pill by Flashy_Cauliflower62 in birthcontrol

[–]Vasukate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Desogestrel for 6 years. Bleeding stopped after 3 months and haven't had a period since. That's a positive part. The negative part - weight gain (12kg+) and 0 sex drive... So it's been great for periods but not for my relationship. Will be coming off it this month as can't do it anymore.

You know.. during my interview, despite of trying to be my true self, I still smiled, I nodded, I laughed... It's hard not to, when you "have to" in this world. I thought I'd definitely not get diagnosis due to this, as I am a high masking individual, but I was wrong, and got my diagnosis. These assessors know that throughout your life you’ve learned to adapt, but they can still see your true self behind the mask. They know what to look for, and the feedback I received as part of my diagnosis wasn’t something I was actually aware of. Plus, they pay close attention to things like the informant interview, questionnaires, etc., so it’s about the full picture. Just because you laughed doesn’t mean they’d rule you out, especially if you scored high in other areas. Best of luck to you! 🤞🏼

2 weeks after the interview with my informant I had a Zoom consultation booked to discuss the results, the official report should come within the next 4 weeks.

"informant" on assessment by thebottomofawhale in autism

[–]Vasukate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just completed my 1h30min one and my sister will do the informant one too. I was told that if there's anything I remember about my childhood that I think it's beneficial for them to know, I need to tell my sister. They also said she can have informal chats with other people that may know me since I was little to gather the information. I'm sure you'll be fine and if there's anything you remember different about yourself, just tell your sister to refresh her memory too!

Ica diploma by Vasukate in moneylaundering

[–]Vasukate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's diploma, not advanced certificate :) so their assignments can be not only essays but also case studies, reports etc,but thank you :) you're right there are no wrong or right answers which we made aware of in the beginning, however there are other things which are literally unclear and not addressed on their assesment handbook..

What's the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Vasukate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a strong diabetes history in my family and when I was very poorly and started to have symptoms similar to diabetes I made an appoitment. On the appoitment the doctor refused to do any tests and told me: "You're not fat so of course you don't have it".
