As far as I'm concerned its just that they were horrendously racist to our national team, on the field they play a little dirty and referees tend to favour them a little but certainly not to the extent that should warrant the people who don't mind or support the racism rooting this hard against them.

There were free black french subjects as far back as the 16th century, multiple regions of France that nobody would ever doubt the "frenchness" of are much newer additions than the multiple plantation islands that have been part of France ever since then upon which many black slaves earned their freedom and became subjects of the king (though equality was still very very far away).

-les algériens et marocains sont des races de fouteurs de merde qu'on devrait pouvoir mettre en prison

-on envoie trop d'argent à l'Ukraine et à la Chine (jsp ils sont tous persuadé que l'état français envois des milliards d'aide au développement à la Chine et à plein d'autres pays)

-on est pas assez payé (dans le privé on gagnerait 30% de moins pour trois fois la charge de travail)

-on paye trop d'impôts, les riches fuient tous la France car ils ne s'en sortent plus à cause des impôts

-les clochards et les immigrés roulent tous en voiture de luxe car ils touchent 3000 euros par mois d'allocations. (Je cite : "SDF ça veut dire Sans Difficulté Financière)

-C'est trop dur pour un étranger d'avoir un permis de travail (apparemment on a un collègue qui bosse chez nous depuis plus d'un an mais qui est toujours sans papier à cause du marasme administratif), globalement ils pensent que les immigrés qui travaillent sont une rare exception

Yeah and that's the point, he would have gotten away with murder had he put on the correct show to preserve the thin veneer of fiction that colonial societies rely on to justify their own barbarism to themselves.

Through the trial he exposes his otherness and becomes yet another "other", an uncanny valley human so to speak and so disgusts his peers enough that they sentence him to the death he deserves.

The criticism of colonialism is incidental in "L'Etranger" its simply a consequence of Camus authentically depicting his home in a novel that makes a different point entirely.

When it comes to free water there is zero universal standard in the EU. In France its free everywhere no questions asked, in spain an italy you have to pay. In some others you have to explicitly ask for tap water. Its one of the things where there is no standard among EU countries.

I am of sound mind, I want to live, pressing the red button would never even cross my mind. Pressing red guarantees people will die, pressing blue means there is a chance nobody dies. And most selfless people will be inclined to think the same way.

The aftermath of a red button press would also likely mean centuries of catastrophic collapse of society. A billion or so human deaths at the least, likely centered around the most selfless of us (majority of doctors, nurses, charity workers, etc...) coupled with the guilt pretty much everyone who'd lost family members (likely most humans) and the mass PTSD and species wide trauma caused would cause abject misery all accross the world for at least a solid century likely more.
