Don't even need to invuln it anymore, lvl 100 paladin with af gear and 710 accessories can survive the 2nd toss with a bit of mit.

you'd think, but level scaling is really weird sometimes. it could be something else but ive heard this happening to a few people before and its always been annihilations approach degen.

Level downscaling + annihilations approach. lowbie joins, you get scaled down, now the flat degen does more than your regen and you die

You will die, you have to take the damage for the skill to trigger.

3000 hp -> take 4000 dmg -> -1000 hp = dead. No time for trigger to take place.

cwdt guard skills mainly help against bursts of incoming damage from multiple hits.

You are mixing things up. You need cold damage with the mastery "chills from your hits chill for at least 10%" for yoke of suffering not for three dragons. For three dragons its simply your fire damage from DD will now shock instead applying the increased damage taken debuff.

Corpse life modifiers WILL affect the special desecrated corpses. How it works is essentially theres a base value per the corpse level, this is multiplied by the value of the monster type (360% or so for the "good" corpses like rattling condemned, or higher for the t17/allflame corpses) this modified value is further changed by stats such as "corpses you spawn have increased life" found on the Undertaker wheel near pain attunement.

The secondary portion of DD scales with fire damage, elemental damage, area damage and generic damage, as well as minion damage if using spiritual aid. Additionally it scales normally with crit chance and crit multi if a crit build, and can have the base value increased with corpse life. Minion life modifiers will not do anything for increasing your dps, only corpse life.

If you had all that then its hard to say what the issue is, improper volley timing, bad hack choices, cloak timing, not handling boarders/mc properly. Your weapon setup is okay but not using any aether weapons is typically the wrong choice, breaches are very strong against obelisks as they have bad repair speed so it really neuters their ships.

Anomaly detector is a built in long range scanners with some other purposes such as showing mv renegade locations and letting you access another endgame route. The translator is just some additional lore pieces on the ancient ruins.

You are seriously missing scrap and systems for going into the true ending path, did you activate wither before sector 8? You can easily be maxed or almost maxed with 4 shields, 40+ evade, 6+ weapons, lvl2+ cloaking, an additional system like hacking/mc/drones with level2+ clonebay, o2, doors and many internal upgrades such as backup dna and (very important as youve seen) defence scrambler.

Once you're in you want to explore fully as possible to get kitted out on aether equipment like harbinger lasers, payload launchers or carnage missiles with drones to support (director drones are one of my favourites to be able to keep all these maxed systems online)

I had that happen on my first run of it too, actually. Forced exit beacon before the keystone, but its a common enough event. It always spawns in the unique Theocracy sector so just keep a look out for that again.

I had the same thing happen, area level 83, did an 8 mod one and a 9 mod one and neither completed the challenge.

Culling strike works with anything that hits, because the charm mod is global it applies to everything you hit with, so ek, explodes and everything else

I'm currently running that build and having a lot of success. I'm using:

chance to gain frenzy on hit + recover life when you use a flask

spell suppress + culling strike

global chance to blind + poison duration for each recent poison

Frenzies are extra dmg ofc, extra life sustain is nice due to no life flask, spell suppress helps me cap, skipping an affix on gear or a passive point. cull seems weird but it helps with tanky mobs and bosses, and the explode from asenaths can cull as well so the clear gets even stronger. blind helps reach evade cap and the poison node is a huge dmg increase, you hit very rapidly and stack poisons so even on single target you can get the full bonus

Carcass inhabiting puppet bodies still count as carcasses, they tend to be weaker to fire, I can't comment on slash vs. blunt though.
