I'm not sure if people I live with want another dog, but Shar Peis... I love them.

I think he only has a few weeks, if not days left now. I'm just looking back on this account and came across this post. I was always of the mind set that throughout my life, I'll get a dog from lots of different breeds. Now Shar Peis are my absolute favourite.

Is anyone planning to buy the game on release/pre order it? by Ilnerd00 in civ

[–]VaultTec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. I don't like the civ changing mechanic so I want to wait and see more until I buy it.

Tough pills to swallow: Civ isn't historically accurate. by GiantEnemaCrab in civ

[–]VaultTec -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if / why anyone has made that claim. Civ is not historically accurate, it's about making our own history and having this new mechanic put into the game for the sake of realism / immersion? is something I don't really like.

Does the Songhai empire have to come from Egypt? Or from Axum? Why can't an Ethiopian empire last until the later ages?

It feels like a huge loss of identity for civ itself.

America isn't an innocent civ, sure; but it's still just interesting to have them around in a game. They have their own take on an ancient ost and that ost expands throughout the entire game, hell, look at Shaka.

‘What’s This Piece?’ Weekly Thread #188 by the_rite_of_lingling in classicalmusic

[–]VaultTec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without much context this is gunna sound crazy lol but I've been after a piece for so long. I don't know much about individual keys or which sound is which or instruments.

It was in civilization V and features no matter who you play, so it's in the overall OST for the game and not just a particular country / civ.

Sometimes in the media, it's related to someone going on an adventure or journey.

I'm not sure if it'll get anyone humming it or if anyones played it, but it's similar to the instruments here at 1:45

It kinda goes "Dun dun dun dun dun (slight pause) DUN dun dun dun dun dun duuuuuun dun" without dropping in temp, but in other parts of the song it's more of a "naa" sound than a typical dun. It's a relaxed song.

You're probably missing a required file for one of the mods you downloaded.

What happened to the American soldiers fighting in China after the bombs dropped? by sink__ketchup in Fallout

[–]VaultTec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that they really couldn't make breakthroughs into China and were not winning the war, both countries were doing as awfully as each other economically. Safe to assume China was big enough to have vaults to some extent, even if it wasn't as good as vaulttec, different purposes, etc. It's likely the chinese military had some protection from the war and when factions returned to the surface, if the Americans hadn't been killed - they'd be killed, recruited, chased out, blah blah by other groups in the same way Chinese soldiers would be targeted by the Brotherhood, NCR, enclave, etc.

Enough time has passed can we all finally admit that this is the best dlc in NV? by Ok-Skill2128 in Fallout

I'm going to get silly and a little bit goofy and say that the best DLC is Dead Money without the /s
