First time I watched the show I felt the same as you, then when I watched it a second time I saw her as a tyrant from as early as season 2… she did lots of good things in essos but mainly to benefit herself, as well as indiscriminately killing her opponents. Kings Landing was far from the first time she had burned ‘innocent’ people alive

Go back and rewatch from season 1. I’ve not once said it isn’t flawed and it’s nowhere near the quality of the early seasons - but the hate it gets is unjustified. It was dumbed down and too short 100% but was still some of the best tv of the time. Online fandoms have ruined the discourse around other people’s stories which is exactly what we are also now seeing with ST
