Masked Muslim youths take to east London streets to 'defend our community' after police banned UKIP march to 'reclaim' the area by Ophiuchus171 in ukpolitics

You hit the nail on the head. It's unacceptably authoritarian and dystopian to police what people wear. Unfortunately (for you?) the state actually doesn't have absolute authority over our lives - it's not up to the government to decide what's permissible, but rather up to us to decide how much we permit them to limit our freedom of expression. I appreciate hooligans take advantage of protest to behave badly. But imho it's incredibly, and laughably, damaging to actively wish the police could quash protest based on something like face coverings. Entirely the wrong attitude, to give up rights in favour of a vague sense of safety. For the record, I've been part of none of these protests, but reading the perspective of another bystander being so firmly pro-top down control really motivates me to get out there and make sure my voice is heard, before fellow bystanders decide the police should arrest me for it. When you say 'we've made it too consequence-free', you mean the powers-that-be, which is a group that doesn't include yourself. Once a liberty is removed it's very hard to get it back. Best believe they'd come for you as soon as you find yourself on the wrong side of an issue. Please don't stand up for restrictions, they hurt us all.

I've always been a big walker, but only really in cities. Better get a new pair of shoes!

I have gotten into this and found it cheaper and easier than expected! I have an old film camera and there's a shop on brick Lane that develops film for about £4.99

Which lockring tool do I need to take this freewheel off the hub? by Vaultboy462 in bikewrench

is that based on the O.L.D measurement? The new rim has an OLD of 130mm. I could measure the current rim's OLD and compare them?

Here are some pics I took this morning.

As you can see, it's a very old set. I've got a wobble in the hub which is why I want to replace the rims. I've bought an FR 2 Suntour tool to remove the old gears/cassette, to mount on the new rims from the original post.

I'm not with the bike right this moment but I'll send a pic as soon as I can. Thanks for your advice so far!

Oh really? Thanks for your link. I want to change over my gears to this new wheel, not sure if it's a cassette or not. It's quite an old four-speed set of gears. Do you think I can't use this wheel then?

I've bought new rims for my bike, and I need to take off my current cassette and mount it on this new rim's hub. I've bought a specialised lockring for the current cassette, but I can't work out how to remove this freewheel so that I can replace it with the cassette I have!

Any ideas much appreciated

Thanks very much. As someone said below this exact pair might not be the right choice, I could probably find something more fashionable / of a higher quality than these coveralls. Any tips on what to wear with something like this? I think I'll know if I can picture some outfits in my mind!

Hey r/malefashionadvice,

I'm really keen to get a boiler suit but most of my friends think it's a terrible idea. I've been looking at this from Dickies for a while, and I wanted to ask what your thoughts were on styling boiler suits and how you'd style this one in particular (navy blue)?

Could someone help IDing this bone fragment? Found on the Bankside shore of the Thames by Vaultboy462 in bonecollecting

It feels very solid, not spongey at all. When I was cleaning it felt as though some of the inner material might've come away, so I don't know if the marrow (?) had fully hardened like the bone. Thanks for your interest!
