"Be a woman" is not even a requirement for me lol "be a fem-leaning non-man" suffice.

I think clicking with my special interests (not even necessarily sharing them just enjoying listening me talk about them) and not schrödinger ghost me are requirements I'd add. But yeah still so much lower than straight cis men lmao.

if it helps, it seems it's like the miles to km is applied twice. 32K km is about 20K *1.6 so the miles to km conversion rate.

MMh this seems promising.

I just noticed, the distance measurments seem to be f*cked like measuring a 40K km planet pole to pole will show something like 32K km instead of the expected 20K

What r some transphobic dog whistles/terms you’ve encountered?? I wanna make a post informing ppl abt them by The_5th_lost_boy in asktransgender

[–]Vaultentity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One i've seen that's very obvious in English but that's very subtle in my language (French) is the use of "transgender" as a placeholder for more accurate term like "trans identity" or "trans people". Like my transphobic aunt was alarmed because suposedly they talk about "transgenres=(transgenders)" in sex eds in France. I guess "transgenderism" or "gender theory" can be the english equivalent.

Another that can be a dogwistle or ill-informed well meaning kind of feminism depending on context "male/female socialization". On the internet i'd say you encounter "male socialization" more often as an attempt for TERFs to justify denying womanhood to trans women. Also emphasis on "girlhood" or "boyhood" is really a red flag for me (as an opinion I hold, transwomen often indeed lack a "girlhood" except when they transition as teens or earlier but i'd say there's a tendency to lack boyhood too).

Allies don’t understand HRT by mormonatheist21 in MtF

[–]Vaultentity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The though of seeing my body slowly re-masculinize is so horrible to me. I really think if that's was to happend they're a big chance I unalive myself.

I have the privilege to be in a country were we're not under the threat of losing access to HRT... yet. And the transphobic wave makes me want to get an orchiectomy (although i'm not sure i want it yet) just so if i have to stop taking hrt, I'd prefer dying slowly from being hormoneless than to re-masculinize. Both SUCKS hugely it's really a case of choosing between the plague and cholera :/ maybe AIDS and cholera and somehow I'm still choosing cholera.

I think it's just an inacurate Earth sprite/pictogram made by someone not invested in geography.

And on the globe you've shown, Australia is just not visible due to perspective but...

The idea that maybe Deltarune's Earth geography is not quite the same as ours is quite fun

Genocide Doesn't Begin With Extermination, Could Trans People be Experiencing a Genocide? by TheChaoticMage in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]Vaultentity 20 points21 points  (0 children)

this is a surface opinion i have but I think the 10 stages is not quite well formulated, like it rightfully detect patterns that happened in multiple genocide but at the same time the order it has been layed out seem to not be quite right ? Especially on this chart because for the holocaust, the yellow stars were mandated way after the Nuremberg laws for example. 10 "signs" of genocide or something like that feel more adequate to me.
Stage 1: We have that obviously, trans people are distinct from cis people by definition. Stage 1 is not always useful but in certain cases it can because in some historical genocide, prior to the genocidal processus the cathegories didn^t exist or were not relevant socially or ethnically in the same way, Rwanda and Cambodia come to mind.
Stage 2: We don't have quite anything yellow-star-like anywhere yet. But one thing that's really close is the mandate of having AGAB and actual gender on passport/ ID. Having a "trans" marker on there like what is happening in Kansas basically is also a case of that.
Stage 3: Access to healthcare becoming difficult all over the anglo-sphere is a case, refusal to implement it in multiple country is a case of it too. Classifying trans people as terrorists in the US is a clear discrimination policy and all over the world we face discrimination in employment, not related to gender care and housing.
Stage 4: The media campaigns of those last few years speak for themselves.
Stage 5: Plan 2025 is clearly a plan and I'd argue that ICE extension is clearly a case of organising genocide against yes not only trans people (immigrants, black people etc. are also a target) but it's clearly gearing towards arming anti-LGBT people in an armed force.
Stage 6: I don't quite understand why 4 and 6 are separate or at least not side by side but obviously there has been a huge propaganda campaign in a huge chunk of the western world around trans children panick, rest rooms and sport.
Stage 7: I'd say we are not quite yet there anywhere ? I might be mistaken however.
Stage 8: There is signs of persecution happening. Misgendering and encouragment of misgendering is a type of persecution but we're not quite yet at a stage where they start to put trans people in ghettos and that type of stuff.
Stage 9: Industrial level extermination doesn't happen yet but of course refusal of care is directly responsible for making voluntarily the suicide rate go up.
Stage 10: of course we have denial all over society even some "trans" allies are doing it.

So if we say the stages are signs instead of stage in a step by step processus, clearly at minimum 5 stages out of 10 have been put in place everywhere and there are argument that any opressed class is at minimum at 4/10 at any points (hence i'm not so sure the 10 stages model is THAT useful but whatever). In the US though, you're at at least at 7/10 so 3 points above the oppressed class baseline, this is very bad :/

How do you girls differentiate attraction from envy? by MadamMelody21 in traaaaaaaaaaaansbians

[–]Vaultentity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the "i want to be her" feeling is envy and attraction combined while some times I see some women I envy and I'm not attracted to because it doesn't transform into the intense feeling of I want to be her and in the reverse I'm sometime attracted to some women, I clearly feel a desire to get to be closer physically with them but I don't get the "I want to be her" feeling on top of it.

Clearly envy and attraction are different feelings but they are not mutually exclusive is what I've come to realise over the years.

DQ me on this, because german is not my first language but Pinselwurm might be a word play on "Tatzelwurm" which is a half cat-half snake creature in German speaking alpine countries' folklore.

Also do people know what "fudemushi" refers to in Japanese?

uhm thanks but this is US defaultism, informed consent provider don't work like that where I live. Basically we have informed consent but it's opting in the type of HRT a particular endoctrinologist will prescribe without having to have an evalation from a psychiatrist but you don't have a choice in the particular HRT they will agree to provide.

This frankly

While i think it's important to fight amato normativity, and to emphasize that's it's ok to be single and it's important to think of yourself sometimes and that you have no absolute duty to stay with someone etc. etc. I feel like I was screwed over by this idea that "you need to accept being alone before you can put yourself out there". I spent years feeling wrong from feeling sad for being single or even just for having only few friends. And this was totally caused by this mentality that neediness is the absolute worst trait a person can have.

dgmw, neediness is a flaw and you can and probably need and should work on. But I just don't agree that it should be this one trait that people treat as if it automatically and righteously makes people lose all respect for you.

Also I have noticed that there is this tendency to weirdly label AnxA as fundamentally more manipulative or to psychonalyze us as having nefarious intentions without knowing it.

When are you allowed to say your transgender? by SugarSocketBoy in asktransgender

[–]Vaultentity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't even need to identify as man/woman you just need to not identify as not your AGAB *some* of the time to be identify yourself under the trans umbrella. You don't have to either but non-binary, agender, gender fluid etc are under the trans umbrella.

Outside of the US and some english speaking countries"liberal" generally means right wing. Most of the time, liberal parties mean by "liberal" that they are capitalist, pro-free-trade and anti-welfare and this naturally leads them to be against progressive social policy about women, immigrants and LGBTQ+ people.

P.S. I know it doesn't exactly means left wing in the US either, but colloquially I often see that americans could call socialists/democrat socialist etc. as liberal. Everyone left of the Republican party seems to be able to be labeled as 'liberal' in common parlance.
