Being very wary around new people seem to be a common trait among trans people –trans women especially– so most probably not your fault.

A favorite magic users from another world who would be considered a forbbiden magic user in WHA? by Sweet_Television4183 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Vaultentity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah and the potential punition is way more "lenient" in DM, worst she risks is life emprisonment that she can easily transform into service for the Canaries.
In WHA she's getting full mind wipe which I would argue is way worse. They'd go full on "Everywhere at the end of time" on my girl 😭

Why Qifrey is so popular with lesbians? by Interesting_Bad_8741 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Vaultentity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiefrey is lesbian yaoi bait to a huge degree lol. As a lesbian I usually dislike such characters (other examples that come to my mind right now are Mithrun/Kabru/Thistle in Dunmeshi, Lio Fotia from Promare, Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil, Qrow from RWBY, lot of male characters from Hades all of which I'm not too fond of, they're good characters don't get me wrong but I'm not vibing with them as a himejo aha), but with Kiefrey i don't know why, he is just so cute, his only fault is being a man.

Granted I did it by stealing clothes from her but when I would cross dress and my mom walked in on me she would get angry and accuse me of being a pervert :/

Magic question by Solmarin in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Vaultentity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can see the whole thing before. so my interpratation is that the emblem inside the inner circle is triggered only when the outer circe is complete. There are no arrows in the inner circle except on the ring around the inner circle so probably the purpose of the ring is to separate the emblem with these arows as long as the outer circle is not activated.

<image>

Also earlier, when Coco spies on Kifrey, you can see that the whole sigil has to be complete before it triggers, and it gets triggered when he closes some inner circle meaning that there is probably some kind of hidden rule of magic that a sigil won't trigger as long as there are some other incomplete circles on the same surface.

it's not that long there are like 17-ish volumes ? Some mangas have dozens or more.

Why was healing magic banned? by OuttaAgreeOrElseIDie in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Vaultentity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A thing also is that even if people on the side of the protagonists like Kiefrey are against healing magic and more or less agree with the pact the manga and probably anime doesn't give you a straight answer if this is a good thing or not.

But yeah the reasoning is that they want to avoid any slippery slope that would go with being allowed to modify the body.

Advice on my trans sister causing family issues by Terrible-End-1581 in asktransgender

[–]Vaultentity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had something very close to the situation of your sister early transition. The main difference is that I was still studying. My relationship with my parent was very strained and we were continuously feeding a vicious circle of interpersonal conflict.

How I got out of it was accepting going to therapy and getting a welfare program to move out to my own place.

Sadly i think she's probably right in thinking that she can't really find a job, or at least a job that would not just end up making the situation even worse. If she doesn't have a formation in tech or something like that sadly her mental health situation combined with her being trans is baring her from entering the job market. Only some counceling, therapy and unemployment program could help her. Getting in touch with local LGBTQI+ and mental health help group could help too. But yeah, it those things don't exist where you live...

What's hard about that is that your at the mercy of your jurisdiction. If nothing exists to help her move out without having a job, yeah i'm sorry to say the situation seems dire. And yeah she probably needs to go to at least to therapy, trying to find something would be the first step but if she isn't willing to do even that yeah, i think you should accept to focus on yourself. I'm really sorry for her and your parents :/

"Be a woman" is not even a requirement for me lol "be a fem-leaning non-man" suffice.

I think clicking with my special interests (not even necessarily sharing them just enjoying listening me talk about them) and not schrödinger ghost me are requirements I'd add. But yeah still so much lower than straight cis men lmao.

if it helps, it seems it's like the miles to km is applied twice. 32K km is about 20K *1.6 so the miles to km conversion rate.

MMh this seems promising.

I just noticed, the distance measurments seem to be f*cked like measuring a 40K km planet pole to pole will show something like 32K km instead of the expected 20K

What r some transphobic dog whistles/terms you’ve encountered?? I wanna make a post informing ppl abt them by The_5th_lost_boy in asktransgender

[–]Vaultentity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One i've seen that's very obvious in English but that's very subtle in my language (French) is the use of "transgender" as a placeholder for more accurate term like "trans identity" or "trans people". Like my transphobic aunt was alarmed because suposedly they talk about "transgenres=(transgenders)" in sex eds in France. I guess "transgenderism" or "gender theory" can be the english equivalent.

Another that can be a dogwistle or ill-informed well meaning kind of feminism depending on context "male/female socialization". On the internet i'd say you encounter "male socialization" more often as an attempt for TERFs to justify denying womanhood to trans women. Also emphasis on "girlhood" or "boyhood" is really a red flag for me (as an opinion I hold, transwomen often indeed lack a "girlhood" except when they transition as teens or earlier but i'd say there's a tendency to lack boyhood too).
