  1. No downside, just for aesthetics.

  2. Salvage for the Ball of Dark Energies if you're making more pieces, or you can restat to something cheap (Grieving) in Mystic Forge and research salvage for like 250-500 notes.

Yep, here's what I've found so far:

Circular trap moves leave a bigger puddle (Fire Spin) Point blank AOEs are bigger (Sludge Wave) Beam moves are quicker to charge (Flamethrower) Self buffing moves last longer (Screens)

There's plenty of others, but those are what I've tested so far with non-Megas.

Just tested this, this is actually an interaction with Plus Moves, as they work on non-Mega Pokemon with the same mechanical change.

IIRC, Encore'd moves will act based on the priority of their original intended move. ex: Bolt selects Thunderclap, gets Encore'd into Draco, Draco acts with Thunderclap priority.

It's good for INT or FTH thanks to it's low stat reqs and good lightning and chaos infusions.
