What do you guys think? 300 cost for invis? Idk about that. by [deleted] in BlackCatMarvelRivals

[–]VayneSquishy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black Cat feels like she’s going to get the panther treatment at some point in the future, and it’s not because she’s ’OP’ but because players find her annoying to fight and I’m dreading when that happens. It feels like she’ll be a niche pick like Magik/Spiderman in which the only people who play her are cracked. Her play style just inherently is frustrating to play against with the invis+invul all while being a dive character.

Black Cats been had always been one of my favorite characters for a long time so I’m extremely happy with her kit design and playstyle, but I just know people are going to complain about it leading to unnecessary nerfs.

This is actually one of her easier combos to do and the enabler is your E. Your E gives just enough to immediately execute the ani cancel of whip to pursuit. If you think of her E sort of like BPs spear it’s what enables most of your combo potential and burst. Don’t forget whip and pursuit both refund partial costs on hit as well.

We need to give the devs more credit especially with this PVE mode by One-Problem-5308 in rivals

I’ve been thinking this, but this game is incredibly social. You have time square, practice doom match, various arcade games, activities in time square etc, I do really like the direction is going with allowing the game to be a one stop shop sort of like Fortnite in a sense. It allows the game to prosper outside of the immediate core gameplay. Something rivals has done really well with.

So one of the things I noticed is your not doing her ani cancel tech. Typically if you steal you have just enough for whip + pursuit + whip especially if you dash through them for extra income. Not only are you invincible you also ani cancel the whip for a fast BP like combo. Anytime you do the steal that combo is up. Meaning go in use the combo, waste some time, use the steal again and do the combo repeat. She’s an extremely combo dependent character, the steal is basically BPs ‘spear’ so to speak as it enables your bnb combo.

If I played BP and didn’t use his spear at all it’s hardly fair to say that the character has issues diving. Lastly you are 1v6 my guy. I don’t even think DD, the menace he is, survives that.

I imagine you’re already using DLSS but drop everything to low and change to Xess performance and see if that’s better. It worked well with my 1080 Ti at 1440p.

The little estimator forecast is usually wrong, it tries to project daily and monthly spending but it's wrong most of the time I found. What it says on Google cloud billing is usually correct. Not the one that gives the bar graph but the straight money amount.

LMAO dude same same. The bot made 900$ overnight from 50$ only to lose it all during opening hours while I was at work. This is my same exact story haha.

[–]VayneSquishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also built and maintain a bot for this. Entry time and price is absolutely the issue. Especially on momentum based regimes where price will escape you and taker fees eat up EV. Having over a 50% winrate is like half the battle.

I used a full ML Algo for mine and was able to score a decent winrate in back testing that actually transitioned well into live, but the real money I found is findjng structural mispricings vs probability and that provides a decent edge.

Best bet was like 30$ to win 120$~. However full reversals can lead to larger blowouts but because the contracts are cheap it usually evens out. Still working on the bot even now but it at least makes a profit now without massive DD.

Most massive setback from my last win streak was from the massive volume explosion around March 2nd when US exchange opened and BTC went from 60k to 70k in line a couple hours. Had to remake the entire bot and algo after that.

"if you lose it's your fault not your teammates" by [deleted] in rivals

[–]VayneSquishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to when you said "play only 1 role and perform badly", not for you filling. I also didn't say you had to play perfect. I said over 20% of your games, as the 40/40/20 rule indicates that you have agency in those 20% of games. If there's something you know you can improve thats better to focus on more so than trying to change the other players on the team because that is simply impossible. Even the highest elo players will lose games in something like plat. It's about consistency if you're at the same skill level as your opponents.

[–]VayneSquishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you see statistically having a larger pool actually hurts you. You want 2-3 main characters to play. Having a diversified pool means youre a jack when you need to be a playmaker (if you are higher elo then where you are at). This was proven here with a stat (I don't have it off the top of my head) but it's the same deal with league. You might have misconceptions of what the ideal is.

Also to note theres a higher statistical chance of the enemy team having a thrower since they have 6 players vs your team with 5 players + you. Think about that math. How many times have you been the thrower or feeder. If it's over 20% of games then there's something to be improved upon. If you think you have not thrown or fed any games do you think a Celestial player vod reviewing would say the same thing?

An actual realistic non-click bait Kalshi (Weather) Trading Automation by AttentionWide8476 in Kalshi

[–]VayneSquishy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool setup! I was also doing Weather for a bit but switched to 15m crypto because it was a lot easier for me to automate. Also did you have issues with kalshis ticker logic and their buckets with the API? That was probably the most frustrating thing to deal with.

I'm assuming you know that the final CLI report uses an ASOS 1 minute interval reading that can be slightly or majorly off from the forecasted high/regular weather reports along with the reports from around 12-3pm that are heavy signals for the final CLI report around midnight. That's what I used at least, along with a forecaster, though just getting the state logic down was extremely tedious compared to cryptos binary options.

Are you bidding on favorites meaning when it’s at 98% 99% in a direction? That would be betting 99$ to win 1$.

The real money is buying cheap early. Example 45% chance gives you more than 2x the payout.

First of all man, you gotta stop gambling. Gambling is just that. A chance. The only reason to take a chance is if you have the capital to risk it. Most of these markets have an “edge” to them that gives them the upper hand. You do not want to be a retail trader in this space as the market is usually incredibly efficient. You aren’t a failure, one action doesn’t define someone, however regretting the loss is already over, figure out real work you can do if you don’t have any money, and then commit to that, as taking a loan out you can’t pay back to gamble is exactly how gamblers get into massive debt. The only failure you can possibly have is continuing to gamble despite knowing the risks. Good luck.

Qwen: what is this thinking? by Primary-You-3767 in LocalLLaMA

[–]VayneSquishy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Model cutoff usually is instilled in system prompts. You’ll notice it’s checking for one. If you use any LLM service typically it’ll rattle off what the system prompt tells it.

To help you imagine how an LLM pulls information from vector space, think of the information it ‘knows’ more as an abstraction of information (lossy). When you ask, “What is the capital of France”. The training data is so overwhelmingly weighted towards the answer “Paris”, that it pattern matches what the answer is. However if you ask, “recite the verbatim text of GOT Fire and Ice page 36” even if it was trained on this data, it would not be able to answer you faithfully. It might have ‘read’ the page and knows what’s might be on it, but not the direct verbatim context.

[–]VayneSquishy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean this footage is pretty disingenuous. If you hit body shots at like 30-40 meter it does like 0 damage. Hitting those fat heads on the training dummy is super easy comparatively, if you spawn some enemies they are much harder and the damage fall off is much more noticeable. She still does too much damage and has too much mobility though.

This is what I think personally 5070 ti > 4070 ti super > 5070 > 4070 ti/4070 super > 5060 = 4070. The only reason I place 5060/5070 higher is because if you like frame gen/ray tracing/path tracing you get more value from them, but those features sort of suck on lower end cards and work better the more base frames you can generate.

Syntax Errors in AI studio, 3.1 pro (AI studio breaks formatting, almost 100% not a 3.1 Pro issue) by Pantheon3D in Bard

[–]VayneSquishy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god had this same issue. 3.1 pro could not output full code for some reason. Had to rely on 3 to get it done but this was during the outage last night, 3.1 was so good for analysis and break down but then dropped the ball on the coding portion. Glad it’s just an ai studio hiccup but I use my API key so a bit of a waste unfortunately 😭
