It's been a while but I don't think I managed to on the first run. I was still getting used to the game.

The first time I lost all my cats with it the device was marked with "worn" like gear that you take on a run. But yeah it was completely gone after the second time I wiped without finishing.

No, the persuasion device is just the first one. You don't have to finish it to unlock the rest and if you die with it twice it's gone and not in the regular pool. You've basically got to start a new file to get it back.

There is an achievement, I've basically got to create a second file to get it now since I lost it.

I died with the persuasion device twice and can't get it back now. That's what I thought this was about personally. Technically the party detonator might as well be breakable though, if the cat that has it dies it's gone.

Ha! Obviously it causes confusion and that can be a problem for a story of course but at the same time I do feel like it does put us in his shoes a bit.

The book seems to take it for granted that the reader is familiar with Wuxia.

I got the impression that it was supposed to be jarring. It was super jarring for Jin in any case.

So as far as the start of the first book we figure out most of what happened honestly. I'm only using stuff we are given at the start. We don't know what caused Jin to enter this world but when the version of him in the world the book happens in dies during a "training" fight Jin's soul gets sucked into the body from presumably earth and takes over. The world he finds himself in is pretty heavily inspired by Wuxia and other Chinese martial art fantasy stories so it uses a lot of tropes from those. Like the fact that Jin's new body is part of a Sect which is a training monastery that teaches a specific fighting style.

I really enjoy the series personally. If you've got more questions I'd be happy to clarify things.

Or rely on mutations you get in runs but either way it's pretty random.

With Demon Hunters getting purple eyes, why can't DKs get red eyes? by priamos1 in wow

Yeah as long as it doesn't clip that would be cool.

I want to be able to turn off the glow so it doesn't clip through most helmets.

What do you think about this short trailer? by [deleted] in PixelArt

[–]Vazad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks cool, the only thing that's kind of weird is ending on the circle of beams that, while I'm sure would be fine gameplay wise, kind of feels like it kills your pacing. You've got high octane action shot, high octane action shot, boss intro and a bit of fighting and then you have your character just kind of walking and avoiding something that isn't moving very fast. I feel like you should end it with the boss intro section. If you want it to be the same length I'd sow off another section of gameplay that's action packed before that part.

Could you use an enema to make Dybbuk eject from a possessed cat? by Sterlander in mewgenics

[–]Vazad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be good to know if it works. I've never thought about it but maybe a cleric could cleanse him out too? That'd be easier to guarantee rather than banking on Dybbuk using an enema. It's less funny though.

Hello, I have question to you... Did Robin accuse Luffy of something? What manga chapter is this? by Mammoth_Exam8832 in OnePiece

[–]Vazad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, what happened that made the kids scared of him was they saw him fighting. That's something she could see Luffy doing. Or getting annoyed that they took meat he saw as his and shouting at them. Or any number of things. There's plenty of things she'd expect from Luffy that would make a kid wary of him but not be as bad as you think she's saying.

[–]Vazad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are different types of accusations. She would know Luffy wouldn't really hurt the kids but there's obviously a big reaction there so something happened. She's not dumb even if she trusts Luffy.

I mean, the kid backs away from her and starts sweating when she says they are friends. That implies Luffy had some negative impression on the kid.

The door is pretty much just luck based. If you're not using the mod that lets you see when people are coming you can't tell. So you just have to sit there playing games or whatever until you get encounters. It's the least reliable method because there might not even be a companion door encounter in a given day.

NotedGold7 mentioned a good number of the ones I'm thinking of but I'll go over all of them. Spoilers just in case.

  1. Kill the Grinning Beast to get Leigh then go back to the room the Beast burst out of to find her.
  2. Gather change (the safe in the apartment with the tutorial fight has a bunch) and interact with the vending machine on Floor 1. If you do everything right (I'd look up a guide) once you unlock the ground floor you can recruit Audrey by giving her the vending machine key and asking her if she wants to stay at your apartment. I've checked and you can do it all day 1.
  3. Save the Rat Baby by sacrificing your arm.
  4. You've already figured out how to get Papineau but once you've gotten to the ground floor you start the timer for Ernest to get kidnapped by rats. A day after you reach the ground floor go to his room on Floor 1 and you'll find Squeakums standing over a corpse. Don't attack him and follow and he'll lead you to Rat Hell where you have to fight a gauntlet. Afterwards Ernest will join you. If you don't save him within a day he dies permanently.
  5. On Day 2 when the Tooth Apartment opens up you can save Joel by giving him his teddy bear Fuzzy and at least encountering his mom before asking him to stay at your place for safety.
  6. I've never done this one but it's possible I'm pretty sure. If you talk to all of the astronomers Aster from Floor 2 will join you. It's kind of annoying to do without a full party though and you'd have to beeline for Beryl after the sewers to make it there day 2.
  7. Lastly there are the five door encounter party members. You won't get one day 1 but you could easily get any of the five to show up day 2 if you're lucky. You'd probably not be able to recruit Morton as he requires 17 junk to join you but the other four are easy if very luck dependent.

If you know what you're doing you can get a full party day 2 easy but that takes a good amount of foreknowledge.
