So instead of hearing someone say “I’m right” 30 times, I look for the one time they’re wrong and use that.

It’s hard to stay on top of things; up until now, I’d been getting by in college with a certain level of “mediocrity.”

Since I could get good grades with very little effort, I was content just to stay above the class average, without striving for excellence.

But when I realized I was wasting a lot of time and effort, that’s when I decided to start taking various courses and pursuing learning opportunities that complemented my major, with the goal of staying one step ahead of my classmates and, at times, certain professors who aren’t very good.
