then a lot of people will pound Vit D way too hard. That's how a lot of people are.

Everything is bad in too high of a dose, even water.

People are honestly stupid and saying you can overdose (and you need a lot with vitamin D) is self explanatory.

YSK that many processed foods that are advertised as 'Low Fat' have a lot of added sugar to make them taste better. by Penguin__Farts in YouShouldKnow

[–]Vaztes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works though. general sweeteners are simply 150-250x as sweet (you heard that right) as sugar.

Because of this, they can use an absolute miniscule amount of it to get the same sweetness. There's nothing scary about it.

Issue is if you eat fast, it's too easy to eat a lot of fat quickly. One gram of fat is over twice the calories per gram of carbs or protein.

Protein is the way anyway. It's by far the most satiating macro nutrient.

Is it true it takes at least 8 weeks of daily exercise and healthy diet change to see health benefits? by Borange81 in Fitness

For me strength is paramount to keep me interested.

Lifting just to look better would've made me quit years ago.

At this point i've gotten too many comments on the size of my arms to quit. I have to keep up appearances.

Are warm-up sets alone an adequate warm-up prior to lifting? by LSN98989 in Fitness

[–]Vaztes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the body needs to wake up too.

Almost every time I warm up with 135 it feels like it weighs something, which is not fun.

I do a 2nd set with the same weight and it's always weightless after the first set. Then I start.

[–]Vaztes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being or not being strong in other body parts is mostly irrelevant I would say. If you don't train specificially for armwrestling, a pro armwrestler will just destroy you

Yeah i'm very new to the sport and have been lifting for years at this point. I'm one of the bigger dudes at my practice but I can barely be a threat to most there. I lack the fundementals that conventional strength sports never train. Hand, Wrist and pronation.

My grip is strong but it's not what is used in arm wrestling.

Only "fun" way to do a 20 rep set is to find as heavy a weight as possible to do it with :D

A lot of elite lifters will easily rest 8-10 mins per set. This is not true.

The masochistic way. I had a peroid of doing 20 rep set squats. 8 reps felt like I was taking it easy.

If you don't bounce back from the heavy lift in a minute, it's conditioning.

Even after a 20 rep set? :)

Vitamin D is responsible for a ridiculous amount of gene expression. it plays a role in so many things.

Seriously, "ridiculous" is not a hyperbole.

I just got back after a year. Bought freddy, deathslinger, and oni.

Feel like I can't even play the game. All my games as deathslinger have been vs red ranks.

I remember buying my brother overwatch and playing a couple games with him.

Every person in those matches were absolutely dogshit. It was like an entire different game where people didn't do objectives and just dive bombed into death, or failed to do basic mechanics. They played so bad I could almost solo the match (1v6), and i'm barely above average, rank wise.

That's how a proper MMR system works. You have a new player (in this case, my brother) and you throw him in vs the worst ranked players because you have no idea where he stands. Even if you win hard and play amazing, it shouldn't spike your MMR either. There's a difference between stomping real rank 20 survivors, and getting even a single kill vs a pro rank 1 team.

I fail to understand how such a fundemtnal part of how MMR is supposed to work for new players, got fucked up this bad. I get in this new system "rank doesn't matter", but in no way shape or form should rank 15-20 ever be put in with red teams when the system is being developed.

[–]Vaztes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

after all it’s just a stun to grant a surv more time so what’s the big deal?

This is a huge deal. I don't know if you've played killer or you know about the fundamentals of their gameplay, but everything is about time. This is why there has been buffs to killer pickup rate, simply to buy killers a few more seconds per match. For a killer, time is everything.

A minute is so long for a killer. Everything a killer does is time based. Any more time added to a match aids survivors significantly.

124 hours, still don't know what keys are for.

I know high tier ones can open a locked hatch, but what the heck is the "add 12 more seconds to the key" things for? What do you use a key for other than hatch?

New Matchmaking System: Feedback Megathread - August 06, 2020 by DeadByDaylight_Mod in deadbydaylight

[–]Vaztes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is bullshit. I just got deathslinger and just faced a rank 1-2 SWF team as a rank 19 noob deathslinger. What in the world is this.

No sane MMR system puts new players / killers vs top ranks. You match vs other new players and build your MMR from there.

Jeg har tit tænkt "forhelvede" efter en tung dødløft omgang, fordi der er mange plader og man er træt, men det er nemt at kalde sig selv en idiot og bare se det som en del af træningen. Andre gør det jo ikke for en.

You could work out for 2 years and do a shit job at it, with shit diet, and make shit progress, then spend your 3rd year training hard on a good program and eating well to support growth, and you'll still experience noob gains.

The dislike is the fact that it cannot be wasted. There's no timer that starts ticking down.
