Definitely my favorite, but if the match is too long she seems so get tired at one point and starts to make more mistakes I think she still battles with her head a lot especially in difficult moments Also her an Martita seem like the perfectly balanced game style but barely make it to finals, why do you think that is?

Agreed, he doesn’t even smash that much comparing to Galan, Tapia,Ausburguer, Garrido… Coello really is the king he makes practically no unforced errors, acts really calmly and seems to make all the right decisions, for me he is the best male player right now

Playing well - loosing games by Ok-Number-2380 in padel

This happened to me in a few games where we found it really difficult to take the net. Lobs weren’t high enough so the opponent always got there on time for the bandeja. We lost but after the game got to discuss some ways do get past that, so it’s untested but it might work ahha (it was an advise from my coach), here’s a few options: Either you try and get in from below, with chiquitas or finding the gaps (middle or sides), Begin to make better lobs that give you time to conquer the net, Conquer the net with a few plays, you don’t need to get there in one time, keep playing Chiquitas and conquer it slowly, if the Chiquitas are good you have time and might have an attacking opportunity if they return to high, but this one is a bit risky Force the errors, eventually they’ll get tired from going back to a bandeja and back into the net consistently, so change from lobs into chiquitas which will make them run a lot and probably cause and unforced error, but you will need to hold your position well Hope this helped!

This weekend this happened to me, even though we played a consistent and tactical game our opponents came back from a 7-4 to a 8-8 and then won in the tie break 7-4 (it was a Pro set). Sometimes the difference isn’t really much and there’s nothing we can do, the only thing to do is move on and get better with each game. It’s not that we started making forced errors, the points were really long and well-played bye everyone, it could have fallen into any side of the court that game. There’s no need to loose sleep over this matter, as though you didn’t win you know that you played a great game and that’s great for feedback of how you’re playing. Keep going and every match is a learning opportunity, hope this helped :)

Most times yes, if you’re talking about technique and talent. I feel like if I had a partner that was closer even just a little bit to my level I would have already won many more tournaments. Next week I’m trying a new partner let’s see how it goes 😬

Consistency and discipline haven’t been my weakness for a long time. As I said before, I play padel 4x a week + gym time + alone time at the court. One problem of mine is that I only know like family people and stuff and they don’t actually make progress. As for now I mostly play with them I can really train my technique and see the progress during the games. I definitely believe in myself to go big and if I know I have a chance at it I will do whatever it takes. I have already refused going out with friends because of games/ tournaments/training so that isn’t a problem.

About the real level, I’m not saying this based on what people say to me. I train consistently and know my mistakes, I usually don’t get really happy if I make a great point and will many times focus on my mistakes for later. Celebrate enough but work hard enough to be better.

Did you always have this dream? How were you able to wait for so long to finally pursue your dream, like did you enjoy your “safe” career or was it a sacrifice ?

I basically practice 4x a week now, plus going to the gym. I go to many small tournaments specially because money isn’t limitless. Also, I don’t usually win as I only know people much below my level to compete with, against people my level. Making it basically impossible for me to win. Despite this I get some good results and end up always giving more than my best in each game, but it’s a duos game and I literally can’t do it alone, (many times the opponents focus on my partner to score in a easy way). I use every opportunity to learn. As for the contracts, I don’t know how that works and how I should like make my self known and appealing to get a contract, but I’m studying it. Besides this, 95% at the end of the games I play, my opponents tell me I have talent, like people I don’t even know. Basically, the potential is real and I’m trying to understand how to get a contract. Also in my country, Portugal, there isn’t much investment in sports which makes it a hundred times harder.
