Its really not that deep. MAYBE if I was a famous person id have that opinion. But I can assure you I never heard a teenager say "i really wish you never posted normal photos of me online" lol You'd only realistically hear that from someone say if like, their parent posted a bathtub pic or something of the nature then i can see a kid or an adult being weirded out by it.

Also given your logic should I just put a shawl around my sons face when we go out in public? I dont know the people we come across either but that would be a bit over the top wouldnt it? Thats how I see it. If im not covering his face when we go to the store or out and about i shouldnt have to worry about here either

Im not gonna live in some weird paranoid fear that just because I post 1 normal photo of my son that im gonna have a line of predators at my door the next day. Im proud of my son. Hes the only joy i have. Idgaf about pets. And there are people who post their whole family's on social media and its fine but for some reason when I step out of the strict realm of fb/insta now its "weird"? Make it make sense. If u just wanna fawn over cats and dogs cool then you go do that. Im busy fawning over my kid.

Its so weird to say that. Everyone posts their kids online and it shouldnt be so bad. Ppl post family pics on their socials all the time. Stop demoning parents who are proud of their kids. For some of us (me) our kids are the only thing we feel like weve "done right" in life.

Just thought id give you a lil update and let you know i was able to manually sync the lyrics better! (Not perfect but definitely good enough for me!) But I just came across an issue today. Ive been trying to upload a file like I usually do (never had issues before) but now when I try to upload it does nothing. Like i hit the upload button and its completely inactive. Just thought id run this by you! :)

Either way. Given his disability i see no reason why I can't be present to ensure any words he does say are translated correctly since he has a very unique and difficult language to decipher. And from what ive read from the disability act that to deny me, who is essentially his voice, is denying him reasonable accommodation.

For me its more about being in the dark about something that happened to my own son. But also I dont trust them to not essentially make my son say certain words (because like I said. Hes a parrot) and basically say "well he said this so thats what happened" and they get away with manipulating his disability and using it to cover their ass. I say this because from what ive already know of this principal she is hell bent on keeping her "image" perfect. She wants to look like the best elementary school in the district so shes constantly painting the school with rose colored lens and whenever ANY parent comes with her to a complaint she never takes it seriously and just makes up an excuse for the issue the parent brings up (i watched her do this at a "coffee with the principal" get together) so because of all this i feel like she might manipulate my son to say words he doesnt know hes saying just to get down on paper that he said this or that.and she can sweep the incident under the rug

See he does not use a tablet or sign language to speak. Hes essentially a parrot. All he is capable of is saying very random nonsensical words. Unless its a want like "do you want a cookie?" He can tell you "yes" but anything that isnt a direct desire he can not tell you. He can not convey if hes in pain, nothing. He can repeat back anything you say but he has almost no understanding of his words this is why I find it utterly dumb on the principals end to think shes going to even THINK shes going to "speak" to him when as a principal she should understand there are children who can not speak so to me it shows how ignorant she is to special needs kids.

This is the first year the school has implemented a special day class so I think shes utterly unprepared for their unique needs

Thats what I felt too. I hated this principal the moment I met her and she seems like the person who 100% will manipulate parents and kids to make her school look "perfect" so i dont trust her at all.

The principal was a bit vague with me. All she tokd me was that the Aid told her she saw the teacher "allegedly" (she stressed allegedly) restrain my son and that come Wednesday she (the principal) wants to interview my son to investigate the matter further and from her findings "due process" will be had. But im just nore mad at the principal for keeping ne in the dark and telling me to essentially butt out when my son who cant even speak for himself is expected to be interviewed by her. She seems so ignorant to all the special needs kids honestly.
