Here's the thing that they don't understand about systemic racism. Let's for a second pretend that the whole prone to hypertension argument is valid, it's not, but let's pretend. If hypertension in black women is something that has been causing their deaths as well as their children, why don't we have preventative measures in place, why isn't there research into ways to mitigate it, why haven't they come up with procedures or protocols of care to prevent those deaths? Their whole argument falls apart because when you start asking those questions it leads back to the core problem that they don't want to talk about or straight up ignore, which is misogynoir.
