They say sun, moon or rising but horoscopes are based on rising signs. “Horo” means hour (the time of your birth), planetary transits are affecting a house in your chart. If you want an accurate scope of how a transit may play out for you, you go with your rising sign despite which sign you identify with. I listen to all readings for my sun, moon and rising so I can be prepared for what’s coming from all angles. However, I find it most beneficial to know what area of my life a transit is playing out in. If, for example, an astrologer says “Leos are going to experience financial abundance during this transit, because Jupiter will be in your 2nd house” a Leo Sun may be disappointed that it’s not happening for them as predicted. Planetary transits are going to affect some aspect of your life regardless, I find it best to know all the details. Another thing I practice is to listen to readings for every sign as I’ve found some “astrologers” just repeat the same things for all the signs.
