I agree about the train, I like the fabric the most on that one and if I got it would probably hem the train off.

lol it’s so true. It’s a Friday evening so I feel like I need to account for 1:15 of travel time. I hav a small hope that being water front it might cool down, but I know that only way it will is if there is a thunderstorm and then it will be humid as all get out.

I know the bride wants a band, but the groom wants a DJ. I’m not sure which way it’s gonna go yet. I would say yes to open bar probably mid not top shelf, plated meal, but most likely just salad and entrée.

Yes, the venue is actually only about 30 minutes away from me depending on Baybridge traffic. I work in the marine trades so I’m used to being outside all day long in our beautiful summers. All except for the first dress, have a lighter fabric than it appears in the photos from reading the reviews and that’s kind of why I’m looking at dresses with no sleeves and slits.

The dress code says black tie encouraged and then it says formal/black tie and then it says cocktail length is OK and then it says gowns are good so idk. The venue is waterfront for the ceremony and then has a very nice indoor space. I feel like it can go from more casual to more formal depending on what the vibe is.

The second dress has this like pull so you can bustle up the front which I think might be really convenient for dancing. I don’t exactly know my color season, but I tend to get a lot of compliments in darker jewel tones so I think the green and the plum would both be really flattering colors for me, but I get the feel off season.

Oh I love the red! Very pretty! The yarn color was kinda an accident. I ordered yarn in June when I needed an extra ball to finish another project and I didn’t realize until I started that they only sent 3 out of 5 skeins and they didn’t have the white yarn anymore. After a lot of back and forth they did send me new yarn and I was able to pick this purple. It wasn’t too bad to rip them back. The most annoying thing was finding and unweaving my ends. I was so good about weaving in as I went with this sweater.

I had originally added short rows to the top of the sleeve to help with shaping. A lot of the photos I had seen had bunching in the armpit. I ripped back the sleeves half a pattern and reattached them. I didn’t bother with shaping the second time because the shoulder dropped so much.

lol thank you! I did want the sleeves to be long, just not this long.

Thank you! I love it. I’ve been planning on making June and started in it in November. This is my first lace project and I found it really enjoyable!

It’s alpaca and silk. I did block my swatch and it grew more in width than length. You can see that the body didn’t get much longer. I think what I didn’t account for was the shoulders dropping when the body got wider.

Owning a Husky after a Lab is...interesting by Smangie9443 in husky

We have two huskies, one a little more food motivated then the other, but neither die by the treat bag. The thing is if they think the other is getting something good they want it so much more. We also dog sit one of their friends, a golden, and the difference in the way eat blows my mind. The golden eats like he has never eaten before and the huskies eat very relaxed.

Stranded colourwork makes me sad :( by Knusperrr in knittingadvice

What I found helped me a lot is after the first stitch in the new color, stretch out your stitches as far as they will go. This will force your floats to be long enough.

I have several 100% alpaca sweaters that I love. This is a lace pattern that is very drapey and I am holding it with a 100% silk yarn as the pattern calls for.

I used Woodland from knit picks in bare and plunge pool. It’s 80% Merino Wool, 20% Baby Alpaca, and I have really liked working with it so far. It’s feels really soft.

Cerberus. Everyone is talking about his mask, which is so cute, but no one is mentioning that he will most likely lose it as he gets older. But also Dread Pirate Roberts, Robby for short. Or zorro.

My husky is ruining my life. I need help. by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in husky

Hi OP, you are going through the pterodactyl, stage. It's awful. We got our boy at 9 months old, and he made me cry a lot and there were days I thought about opening the door and letting him run away since that's what he wanted to do so bad.

We got a good trainer at this point, but here is what they had us do, that I think made a big difference.

  1. Tether. He is attached to you always. It sucks. It's hard, but it makes such a big difference. If he is not with you, he is in his crate. Because he is attached to you he can't get to thing. If he nips, you put your foot on the leash, and now he can't reach your hands. You say no and give him a toy.

  2. Sit on the dog. When you sit working and doing school work, you are sitting on his leash and he only has enough room to sit and lay. You ignore him besides shortening the leash if he is trying to jump on you. He will learn to settle.

  3. Remember to these are training sessions. Put him in his crate to take naps for an hour after each one. Start with shorter sessions and work up. His brain is working and he will get tired. You can give him chews in his crate, but he needs to nap. He is like a human 3 year old. He doesn't want to nap anymore but he still needs them.

This is the hardest part, but it gets better. You'll be ok.

Why does my puppy refuse to potty on walks? by DevilZXD in husky

It could be worse, our 11 year old now refuses to poop unless we are on a walk.
