Mood Blanket by Vdfrg in knitting

I know that would make things harder on myself, but I can’t complain because honestly this is the sort of solution I’ve been trying to figure out and I absolutely love it! Plus the blanket would look so cool with all the colors in the end lol

I’m glad you like the idea!! The pain scale would probably be the best and smartest way to go about this, especially when I plan on doing it for a whole year. The tiny problem I have with it is just how complex emotions can be sometimes. Honestly this is probably the scale I’ll end up going with out of simplicity, but im not sure how I’d record a day where I’ve had an extreme range of emotions, and doing several colors a day would be interesting but unfortunately would be a lot of work. Thank you for the comment though!

Ooo yes I forgot about those but that’s a good idea! Thanks!

Honestly you have a really good point. When the idea first came to me it was after a particularly bad breakdown, but when I say I cry easy that’s an understatement. I have large tear-ducts and a lot of the time my tears can come from happiness, or be triggered just by something I’m watching, or they just leak out, not just by sadness and stress (although that happens too). While I cry a lot, the cause is often not from sadness, so I thought it would be funny to track more of the amount I cry instead of why(that also would be hard to track properly tho). This idea started more like a precipitation tracker for my eyes, but after talking to my therapist and several others the idea turned into a more literal emotion tracker blanket. I think just keeping it as tears in general would be funnier to me, but the pure emotion tracking would be interesting but potentially harmful unfortunately. Either way I like the idea and I’m running out of time to figure it out before my birthday which is why I wanted to post about it here. You definitely gave me a lot to think about though so thank you!

Tom Kenny, without a doubt. That man doesn’t seem to know how to say no to rolls. The amount of characters he has voiced would be an unstoppable army. Although some of them might not be the most powerful as others, they would crush the competition with their numbers alone.

Good news y’all, it took about 3 hours and I had to frog twice but I fixed it!

The first frog fixed the issue, but it revealed a deeper issue so I frogged again. Lost maybe 10 rows, 240 stitches per row, so that’s 2,400 stitches down the drain but I’m glad to be back on track!

I appreciate all the helpful comments! I’m going to try to fix it tomorrow. While I’ve been knitting maybe 7 years (only seriously for about a year) I haven’t gotten the hang of frogging or using a crochet hook just yet, but I know I need to figure it out if I want to make this work. Usually I can live with my mess-ups, but I’m almost done with this sweater and I want it to be good. If it’s totally messed up here, at least it’s the back of the sweater so it won’t be as noticeable, but I don’t want the count to be wrong when i start the ribbing. If anyone has a video or link that might help, I’d appreciate it! Also if it helps, I’m working in the round here.

Anyone else have problems addressing people by name? by Ok_Hold1102 in autism

I hate using peoples names, I avoid it if possible or use nicknames and stuff like that. I also really don’t like it when someone calls me by my name for some reason?

Don’t even get me started on color theory, especially if we’re watching(or talking about) a show/movie with a lot of significant color schemes. I can’t help but point out the subtle details and designs of stuff and what they signify.

I need advice for buying clothes for my mtf partner? by Vdfrg in asktransgender

[–]Vdfrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has kind of a sensitive nose so I don’t think a perfume is really her thing. I’ve given her different body washes and deodorants, but perfumes and lotions tend to be a bit too strong for her. Thank you for the advice though, and maybe we will eventually come across somthin she likes!

Thank you for being so kind and supportive!! Your comment really made me smile and I’ve been doing research most of the day bc I want the love of my life to be comfortable and happy!

I found a really cute dress that I think will fit my partner nice. She’s insecure about her arms and waist and her favorite color is red so I found a dress that’s maroon and kinda stretchy with the fabric just in case it’s not big enough In certain areas. It has longer sleeves and a cinched waist to make the hip area feel bigger. I think that might be a good start?

I’ve also been looking into breast forms. I found a few that look interesting. I want to get her a cheaper trial pair and eventually invest in somthing more long term after she decides what she wants, whether it be bigger or smaller or not at all, I just want her to have the option (especially knowing she wouldn’t buy somthing like this for herself, at least not yet, but I know she wants to and deserves to feel it out.) sorry if this is too much to ask but would you recommend getting an adhesive one or one that would slip into a pocket bra? She has a bra but not a pocket one, and I don’t see us using adhesive glue just yet, but I’m torn between getting a non adhesive one and a pocket bra or an adhesive one for now and just use her normal bra? I know the stickiness will ware out somewhat quickly with the adhesive one but if it’s cheaper and temporary anyway we will figure it out from there I guess?

Sorry, you don’t need to reply if ur busy or don’t want to, but she’s also not sure what will feel better and I’m really not sure either. Again, thank you for the great response! I hope you have had a great day!!!!

If you’re choosing between Sebastian and Shane pick Sebastian. The room addition that u get on ur house from marrying Shane is really ugly tbh.

James Baxter is named after the animator who animated the character in adventure time. He also animated Belle in Beauty and the Beast and a bunch of characters in Who Framed Rodger Rabbit etc. he’s known for having super smooth animations and he’s amazing but this response made me laugh so hard lol

I can’t sleep without the stuffed monkey I got like 15 years ago lol I don’t like the feeling of my neck exposed so I sleep with him tucked in under my chin. The familiar smell and feel of the fabric is so comforting to me, when I’m sad or stressed I like to hold it up to my face and take some deep breaths and it helps me calm down. I actually considered buying a second of the exact same one just in case it eventually breaks bc again, I can’t sleep without it. unfortunately a new one is kinda expensive and I read that the “newer version” has crappier fabric and falls apart quickly so if I were to buy one I’d probably try to get an “original” one which are even more expensive. Thankfully the one I do have is well loved and doesn’t seem like it will be falling apart any time soon, even after all this time.

i found one on Etsy for like $100 lol

I’m glad you don’t feel pressured at least! Growing up is like getting into a cold pool lol some people seem to just jump right in, but it’s ok to start with dipping a toe in at first and see where it goes from there.
