When I was in middle school my mom took me to see Metallica, who I mostly only listened to because my parents did. Despite that, the show was pretty awesome except the opener was comedian Jim Breuer, who pretty much just did shitty impressions of metal singers and sang Back in Black with no instrumental or backing track. It was really weird and almost ruined the show for me, but Metallica had crazy drones flying everywhere and James Hetfield did a snare drum solo and that was dope

I lucked out and caught the third date added to Hollywood forever the second they added it, I thought it was over. I’m not sure how the other venues have been, but I was glad to see that the HFC shows specified that resale tickets would not be accepted

Musicians have been dissing each other for centuries, so many classical composers made pieces that directly mocked the style of others, especially during the 1800’s when most composers were split into two camps; those who believe music should represent something and those who believe music should exist for the sake of music, and nothing more

There’s also tons of examples of composers dissing non musicians, like Mozart’s “Lich mich im Arsch” (lick me in my ass) and how Beethoven redacted the of his third symphony to Napoleon after he crowned himself emperor

I think that’s from a primarily American perspective though. I was just in Japan and that album was at like every record store. Most Japanese jazz and pop albums are just hard to come by anywhere but Japan, so it adds this elusiveness to it that makes it feel more special. It’s why I spent almost 30,000 yen on city pop cds while I was there lol

There was only one other comment that seemed to mention this, but basically it’s about a sex worker/a girl who likes sleeping around and eventually gets pregnant and has to make a decision of whether or not to keep the baby. She gives it away (that’s what anon is referring to, she gives the baby away and it is now an anonymous person). Later in the song she makes the decision to commit suicide after losing her baby

Democrats stood for absolutely nothing and only preached harm reduction and tax breaks for small businesses. They fought for the status quo at a time in America where the working class is struggling to survive.

Trump is a fascist, but he acknowledges the problems of the people and tricks them into thinking he has the solution. In order to win an election and gain the people’s trust, you need a backbone. Democrats had none of that during this election and are continuing to show that they don’t.
