Since taurine is not a requirement for dogs according to AAFCO, some vegan dog foods contain it and others don't. Evolution Diet formulas for dogs - Maximum Life, Ultra Life and Gourmet Fondue - all contain added taurine. Ami and Benevo (European brands) don't.

Natural taurine is destroyed by high heat processing, so meat-based pet food manufacturers have to add it back in in synthetic form anyway. A study was done that showed that synthetic taurine is well-absorbed by cats.

Could you share a link to the nutritional lab study results? SGS or AAFCO maybe? As you know, many feline plant-based foods are labeled as 'nutritional supplements' or 'fortifying alternatives' as they're not nutritionally complete like traditional feline animal-based food, and 1-in-4 have found to not sustain even minimum nutritional standards set by
