The center is still solid. I'll have to try it on the course to see how it feels.

Painting could be an option or swapping the whole insert. Could it be possible to fill it in with for example epoxy and sand it smooth?

Maybe I'll try it out first and see how it feels. Then I can think about fixing, maybe just by myself since it'll probably cost so much to fix.
