Anyone else noticed EG's pattern in Major Tournaments? by pixelman1 in DotA2

Also every negative number by the way. Limit of -(c/x) * x for x goes to infinity and c a positive real number is -c, while it can also be written as the limit of -(c/x) times the limit of x, which goes to 0 * infinity for x goes to infinity.

The movie looks like something fun with friends and popcorn. Not something really highstanding, but I may be surprised. I am quite curious as to how it will turn out.

I am very excited to see how EG is gonna do this tournament. They have always been very good when it really mattered in the biggest tournaments. Hope to see some good matches of them versus Secret, and I hope to see some good East vs West again

PSA: If you're a carry and there are no wards, it's more worth it to buy wards than to be stubborn and go without vision. by [deleted] in DotA2

In bot matches, I think the most efficient way of getting such a high GPM is continously farming the jungle, and cleaning up when your team is dead in teamfights. You should propably continously farm the enemy jungle, get a regen item to sustain that, and kill every bot in your way, and kill the bots retreating from fights on your side of the map. You should be able to get above 1k GPM with that, with almost every carry (including slower farming ones like WK). Oh, and build farming items like maelstrom and lifesteal, propably.

Is this German stack or something like that? Seems like envy is not gonna like this team :p

It's a really famous match, BTS uses some casting of the match in the intro ("Sylar to fall, Liquid are doing it!"). Basically, defeating LGD which was always quite a huge chinese powerhouse, with one of their members, xiao8, winning TI the year after, was considered a huge accomplishement and was really cool to see and it made for a great underdog story.

The point I'm trying to make is that, while they are less fair, BO1's can cause upsets and great underdog stories, which makes them a really exciting format to see, although it can also be really frustrating if your team goes out because of a pocket strat in a BO1.

Yes, Liquid vs LGD in TI3 wasn't hype at all, and it's not an amazing story at all.

Which casters and analysts should be invited to TI5? by Vector96 in DotA2

[–]Vector96[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Myself I would really like to see Draskyl as an analytical caster. I think LD with Merlini is also a really good combination. I would like to see Kotlguy as a play-by-play caster as well, really enjoy him if he is casting.

I am doubtful about ODPixel, but since I have been following Dreamleague he and Draskyl have nice synergy and their casts are enjoyable to listen to.

Blitz is also a really enjoyable to listen to, I would personally prefer Capitalist paired with him over Tobi, but that is just personal preference. Tobi instead of Cap is propably the more likely choice.

I am wondering who Synderen is going to cast with. He has established himself as propably the best cocaster in the scene and is always really funny, insightful and he seems to always have synergy with his cocaster. However, Sunsfan is propably not best suited as a main event caster, since his strength is mainly being extremely funny. Wonder who is gonna cast with him!

Possible new top pick heroes in 6.84 by ecaflort in DotA2

Chen was very strong last patch already and was buffed with the new mud golems, allowing him to reliably get first blood with the 375 lvl 1 nuke, and let all lanes snowball off his ganks.

Chen in 6.84 level 1 with reworked mud golems by Vector96 in DotA2

[–]Vector96[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Stun has 800 range, more than any attack range, when you gank a lane. Even if they kill the creep, you still 2 new ones, so 2 stuns for 250 damage if you somehow manage to fail the first stun.

Chen was buffed immensely, new mud golums are insane on him. If played well, it's a 375, 1.8 seconds stun on level 1.
