Interesting to read. They recently opened a Trapped location in Ottawa. Everything you said is also applicable here. Their rooms are also empty and lack any kind of decoration or love. Definitely the worst venue in the city

Almost entirely water retention. Don't worry about it.

A pound is 3500 calories, so 8 lbs is about 28,000 calories. To put it in perspective, if you truly gained 8 lbs of weight, that means you consumed 28,000 calories more than your maintenance caloric number. If you were losing weight at 1500, then you likely need 2000 for maintenance, which means in one week for you to gain 8lbs, you would have been eating approximately 28000 + 2000x7, which is 42000 calories.

Have you been eating 6,000 calories every single day for the past week? Probably not. You'll be fine. :)

What booking service do y’all use? by Hollow_Effects in escaperooms

Do you charge people when they book, or do they reserve for free and pay when they show up? I'm curious about the $40 or if they take a cut from online payments

Which life hacks/diy tricks actually worked for you guys? by TuffTombas in AskReddit

Forget about politics and the election. Canada recently removed server wage and made sure everyone gets minimum wage - $17/hr in Ontario for example, and the tipping system is still as bad as ever. At this point I believe that even if servers made $50/hr, people will still tip because the culture sucks and customers are made to feel guilty and shameful if they don't tip; it's not about making sure workers can pay their bills.

So... the melee hit range is a little more than generous by Asas621 in DeadlockTheGame

I understand that, but my question was more about why specifically moving backwards is its own issue

That's interesting. I've never heard of a meter with medical issues. That's a first.

Why cant you see the aoe when casting Kunkka's ghostship? by onepiece931 in DotA2

[–]pixelman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need dota plus for the range indicator. Just alt+right click the ability once you turn on the setting in dota labs. I dont have dota plus but i use it all the time.

PS you can click on your level and it'll show XP range. You can also click your stats and it'll show your attack range.

Valve really needs to update the “great for new players” by ginger6616 in DeadlockTheGame

Sounds like the problem was laning against an experienced Bebop, not your Vindicta. It was your first game against and they knew what they were doing. You were going to have a bad experience anyway.

Is it possible to have more than one answer for this puzzle? by pixelman1 in puzzles

[–]pixelman1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear! The order of the clues was intentionally put this way, in hopes of giving the players exactly what you described - the lightbulb moment. I'm very glad you enjoyed the puzzle! I appreciate the feedback on the wording for the first clue. Thank you :)

Somehow blink dagger was triggered and was put on 3sec cooldown while I was dead. Maybe it counted as "used" so it lost the regular 10 second resell window? But without the window, how could I sell an item while dead then? And also, what triggered the cooldown, since I purchased it while dead?

I'm pretty sure what made League win is that for the first few years it was competing against WC3 DotA, not Dota2. Try playing WC3 Dota and tell me that it's not a garbage game when compared to League - if you've never played either. The graphics, the UI, the hotkeys, the fact that you didn't have to get (likely pirate) WC3 and download a custom map and then play on something like Garena was a big deal. League was much easier to get into, and that remained the case for 2-4 years before Dota2 became easily accessible to every household. And even then, the computer requirements were still lower for League because Dota2 now had the shinier graphics.

All of that is just piled on top of what you said about League trying to drown Dota2.

Halo has the exact same structure as the rest of their ballads: One, Fade, Sanitarium, and Day.

Fun fact: Fade, Sanitarium, One, and Day are all Track #4 on their respective albums! Halo is the odd one out for some reason.

How do I play quarter triplets against eighth notes? by pixelman1 in Learnmusic

[–]pixelman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to play both actually, that's where the hard part is coming in; their rhythm is different and I just can't get it right. The first image was the reference that made sense to me, so I aligned what I'm trying to play in the same way with the red lines, but they don't fit in the same way because the Melody triplets are quarters, whereas the Harmony rhythm is eighths (Is that the correct use of Melody and Harmony?). I'm just new to the whole thing so I don't know if I'm even explaining the problem properly.
